HOW SHE BARELY REFRAINS FROM CLICKING HER TONGUE - this new guard of hers was something that definitely did not exist in the original game. maybe siyeon hadn't progressed far enough to have met sakura, but after having convinced the duke to switch out her guards for their obvious mistreatment of her, siyeon would've expected that the replacement be just as inept. so why was her new guard actually paying attention to her ?

« am i not allowed to take a leisurely walk through my own estate's gardens by myself ? » maybe the duke or even her older brother had asked for increased security. regardless, penelope doesn't want her around.

« suit yourself. i won't wait for you. » as nonchalant as she strives to sound, she's anything but. how annoying - an afternoon of plans just straight down the drain if she can't find a way to shake off her new guard. she'll have to delay what she had planned, and instead should figure out exactly who this new guard was, who she worked for, and how easily can she be swayed.

grief is the body of a nihilistic,   ill - bred  brute.      knifed - mouth,   bad teeth;      polluted,   all yellowed and caked in tar,   breath of a decayed carcass left to rot on side streets beyond the lengths of the city.     it's no help the  blood  that drips out the side of his scarred mouth,   dancing with the tip of a knife that dug itself into jason's side at some point during their encounter.      grief is barbed - wired muscles held tight and gored straight to bone,   rope kept sturdy 'round the bulge of his larynx.      (   keep those screams inward,   little bird,   no need to let the rouges know what goes on in the basement of the abandoned wing   ).     he's pinned up like a rag - doll for the eyes of the bat to see  !

as we've discussed most of them are british but you are asking about my beloved shorekeeper and THUS....

shorekeeper's body is made up of remnant crystals and parts sometime break or shatter, particularly when she's experiencing emotional extremes or struggling to process enormous or corrupted data. she repairs herself, but holds onto the broken crystals that come off her form. they can no longer convert energy or process data, but...shorekeeper likes to make jewelry with them. sometimes they want to give the jewelry to friends or colleagues, but they worry humans would find the idea of wearing what was once part of shorekeeper's body morbid.

being that shorekeeper was the core computational unit of what is essentially a supercomputer, and is a kind of supercomputer itself, you'd think it would be good with tech. not so! any tech that isn't sufficiently advanced ends up being very confusing for her, because she's so used to working with much more complex machinery. she'll learn new systems quickly, luckily, once she can overcome the initial confusion.

shorekeeper is a great piano player! she learned from rover, so it's a special skill for her. sometimes she'll lose the ability to speak for long periods, up to a few days, for a varity of reasons...she usually spends most of those periods playing the piano! it makes them feel like they're still communicating their feelings.

shorekeeper is fluent in nearly language that's ever been used since before the first lament, and some that preceded it. most of them she knows simply because they are "downloaded" into her system, but if a language is sufficiently beautiful she'll learn it the old - fashioned way as a hobby.

Soma says, "Not understand why you worry." Never let it be said that Soma is not straightforward / at least, they haven't yet learned that there may be a benefit to being anything else. Thin brows arch and there's no judgement, just honest confusion, because Sakura knows what Soma is — at least as much as anyone else does. Sakura knows Soma will come back when she dies, missing some small remembrance and perhaps with a new scar, but back nonetheless. Sakura knows Soma is a weapon and not a person, that 'Soma' is a fiction dreamt in lieu of history. But still, Sakura worries, tries to protect her, tries to keep her / this body from death. Soma isn't sure whether the grief / gratefulness she feels is hers or the other one's. Soma says, "strange to worry for this body."

Satoru wishes he could give Sakura some meaningful reassurance or tell her she’s being paranoid, but unfortunately for them, he’s got a pair of really good eyes that can look right back at the eyes that are watching over them – foe, and, perhaps, friendlier foe. He huffs out a laugh and shrugs, continuing on the path they’re walking on, motioning for Sakura to stick close beside him.

The abandoned village they’re investigating is teaming with curses – they’re both strong enough to handle all of them, but they’re not the real targets they’re after. Frankly, if he really wanted to be done with this job, he’d have blown it all up willy nilly, but it wouldn’t bring them closer to recovering the people, dead or alive, that have gone missing within the past seventy two hours. 

“It’s only natural that we’ve got some people nosy enough to evaluate us.” He hums. “It’s nothing new to me. When you’re a special grade sorcerer, you’re never truly alone. In your case, I assume that you’re up for some kind of promotion? I’ll put in a good word for you, if that’s so.” He stops in his tracks, pocketing his hands and canting his head towards the forest that surrounds the village. “You’re not imagining things. I wish they,” the higher ups, “would come to put a little more faith in us. It’s really sending me mixed signals.” Literally, and figuratively, since he’s trying to zone in on the cursed spirit’s energy, but there’s that annoying presence, like a fly in his ear, buzzing and distracting him.

"I'm resistant to healing magic." She doesn't mention why —— enough blood magic, your connection to the fade and therefore to mana - based magic frays like a too - taught wire —— and wonders if she should. Merrill suspects, she thinks, and Sakura seems almost all - knowing when it comes to restorative magics. "Don't waste your mana. I can bind the wound."
