Ok so like I just came across someone who has posted multiple fics on Ao3 in the Heated Rivalry fandom and has reblogged a ton of anti Rachel Reid posts on here, and the summary on their first fic literally says they have neither read the books nor seen the show...
How are people thinking of themselves as fans of a media when they only interact with non cannon material?
Like the Rachel Reid bashing is bad enough when they're just illiterate and can't understand unreliable narrators and subtext. But where in the world do they get the audacity to do so when they haven't interacted with a single drop of cannon!?!?!
