Storage for my crochet supplies from cardboard. I started this upcycled cardboard storage in 2017 for my art tools and I used it without finishing it, this year when I found that it has some damages and wanted to remake it and make a better finish for it, but this time I decided to put my crochet supplies on it since I made another storage unit for my art tools. Finally I knew what I want to use this Upcyled wooden box for, I think it's suitable for saving my Islamic geometric shapes with my notes on them and the corrections. New experiment in making stencil of Islamic geometric patterns, this time instead of stencil paper, I used tracing paper and made the stencil by folding the paper and then cut the shapes(see my story for steps/ "crafts" highlight), making it was so fun and it reminded me of the decorations we were making at school using chips bags and cutting them in the same way. This technique is done on thin paper so it's not strong as stencil paper and not suitable to be used with joint compound, but can be used with other coloring techniques like upplying charcoal or pastel powder or any color with sponge, or using color spray. Finally finished this piece ❤️ it took about a month because I was busy doing other stuff. Swipe to see few steps. I don't throw anything away easily and keep many things in case of having an idea to make with them, my family know that so they usually ask me if I want any empty boxes or things like that to use in any art project. So these two boxes was given to me by my father, he asked me if I like to keep them or it's ok to throw them, I actually didn't have any ideas for them, but of course I couldn't refuse to keep them. I think that was like a year or may be two years ago, and I just had an idea last month of how I can use them 🤣 I added the Islamic geometric shape that I did before as an experiment with Islamic patterns and different mediums.
