I know my mom is hurting too 😢. She did everything she could so we didn't have to live in fear. I still remember when they announced DACA she was so happy and I could just see how relieved she was. She didn't care about her, she cared about us! At that time I still didn't quite understood what DACA was all I knew was that my mom really wanted my brother and I to get it! Now my moms peace has been taken from her the only little hope she had is gone 😩 and that that really breaks my heart ! Because all I wanna do is say everything will be okay mom but deep inside I'm fucken terrified.. today I cried out of anger and sadness but mostly out of anger because we don't deserve this ! All we want is to better ourselves! Get an education, work, help our parents and now I feel helpless! I feel defeated 😕. This hurts so much!! 💔💔💔

I support those who are in this country to make a better life for their families. Only an evil person would use their power to take opportunity away from those who came here to earn a better living. I support DACA.

Not sure how I feel about the sustained efficacy of social media w/r/t to dissidence/civil unrest/speaking truth to power/reaching beyond choir preaching and cheap, shitty, inflammatory gaslighting in the comments, and I really feel gross about virtue signaling or whatever it's called, though less gross than I do about regressive, anti-intellectual, racist, bigoted, bullying mean-spiritedness as a national code, but, these are the times and these are the means and so, I share this because, these are kids, and what America is in reality has always existed at a great distance from what we project aspirationally/as an "ideal," but the pursuit of that ideal is what makes us better, and this experiment in spite of its myriad shortcomings and hypocrisies worthwhile, and it's what brought most of our immigrant families here, and this is no different, and these are kids. If you think this makes your life better than it was yesterday, I respectfully disagree. #isupportdaca
