Isn’t ‘It’s 2018 and you have a husband and your doing XYZ and you’re happy’ just an example of personal wish-fulfillment for others who want that rather then a demand for others with different goals to conform to it?

Like it says YOU, not I but so do X CharacterXReader stories. They say ‘you’re in your room in the Avengers tower waiting for Captain America to come home from the war and see you’, they don’t say ‘I was my room blah blah blah and see me’.

I don’t think it’s a compulsory directive, that they are telling me I will engage in these activities in 2028, it’s just second person point of view.
