So uhhhhhh a silly thing happened.

Some GOADblins in The Beta Fishes The Big Fucks server made art and fic for birthday goblin westi/westcoastwag. Whispers were that kilt, Crowley, and knees were good keywords to keep in mind; then @shadowfang44 brought up Marilyn's Updraft Situation, and. Hello updraft kilt demon (that's just the same art on AO3 with some extra author's note waffling, you can comment and kudos if you're into that sort of thing)

We're in ink and watercolour pencil as usual, my wheelhouses apparently.

Please note that the tartan Crowley's wearing is (my attempt at) Heaven's Dress. I.e. Aziraphale's tartan. THE DEMON IS A MEMBER OF THE ANGEL'S FAMILY. Please I worked so hard on this symbolism

If you like the (oddly specific yet so very obviously amazing) trope Crowley, wearing a kilt, standing over an updraft like Marilyn Monroe, you should also check out Paper Demons, another gift for westi that ShoubuDesu and @wiblywoblytimeywimey754 made together in full chaos mode. It's art and fic (E-rated in the text portion, sliver of bare bum in the art), so it's at least double the trouble.

Oh, pro tip. Don't wear high-heeled snakeskin boots with kilt socks (I can't imagine it's very comfy) or with a kilt (it looks gauche). Also, do wear a sporran and fill it with loose change, it'll weigh the front of the kilt down and help you maintain your dignity against the wind or if you dance too hard (or so I've heard 👀🙃)

This is a chaotic post because every part of the process of this was chaotic. It suits.

Storm Kathleen is beginning to make her presence felt ... so far there has been the highly unnerving moment when the mop handle slid along the shed wall and then hit the ground ;-D

No idea what the man on the radio has to say on the matter ... but, as my place is inland, it's only a yellow alert. Fingers crossed for the orange alert coastal areas.

I lived in a mobile home when I first hit the Emerald Isle. I can honestly say it was quite the experience on windy nights as the sides flexed in and out and the roof sounded as though it would find itself a few kilometres down the road.

Glad that my walls are more solid these days. The only thing that might just blow past the windows is some unwary farmer and his dog. Very grateful that there are no trampoline fans in this neck of the woods. Had a friend ring the other day in fits of laughter as her trampoline had flipped right over her house and ended up in her front garden!

If it's windy where you are I hope your hatches are battened ... and, for now, I'm just going to carry on with my coffee and hope the mop handle doesn't get any livelier ...

I’ve been transferred to a different school (that is much closer to home!) and I’m both excited and nervous. I haven’t worked with middle school kids in such a long time. Thankfully the school goes from K-8th. So I’ll get that nice mix of grades.
