I'm aware the "bullying" between northern and southern italians mostly isn't even acknowledged by the rest of the world but I wish the few times it Was acknowledged it wouldn't be like "haha so funny north hate south because xyz" because it's much, much more serious and it's been going on forever, the northern parts of Italy have historically been exploiting the south, and dehumanizing the southerners, calling us uncivilized illiterate monkeys and chanting for the Vesuvius to clean us with fire, they still do to the point it's normal that I've had housing contracts rejected because they "didn't want dirty neapolitans" and that every time the south is hit by a natural disaster and people die from it, the news don't care, but in the north it's a tragedy even with no injured, and that if the south has no funds for infrastructure because the government doesn't give us any, then it's our fault. All of this is perfectly legal and allowed. I'm really tired and this probably doesn't make any sense to anyone outside of this fucked up hell country but I wanted to get it out there
