M33, the Triangulum Galaxy, is a member of our local neighborhood, including: The Milky Way, Andromeda and Triangulum. All are within three million light-years.

I photographed M33 using remote telescope T5 at the New Mexico Skies Observatory on October 9, 2018.

The star cluster NGC 3293 is at the centre of this photo, but the setting is the spectacular Carina Nebula, a vast complex of glowing gas and dust lanes at a distance of 7,000 light years in our galaxy .
