o yo, wanted to show you this thing i saw over the weekend b/c you're like my one ballet mutual, lol; my family went to go see a friend who had a booth at the indian market over at the autry museum in la on saturday and she was telling us about how some of the dancers in her territory up north were often overlooked b/c they weren't the right body shape or some shit. but it inspired her to make this ballerina outfit out of native materials (all the feathers are hand-sewn on!), then she and my mom got to talking about trying to fund a show where we have said dancers tell our rainbow bridge story and ye. just thought you'd like it! (also more power to native ballerinas! give them roles that aren't just pocahontas!)
