ScreenRant just released a bit more of blurb about Bookish Series 2 and some info is very interesting to pay attention to, which will be spoiler

ScreenRant usually shared things that the show want us to pay attention to, since there is no "official" synopsis released by UOriginal or Mark's camp any "spoiler" that they released is an official snippet to make people excited for the show.

The first thing that ScreenRant highlighted is the reunion between Mark and Rupert Graves. This is probably to garner excitement from Sherlock's fandom to tune in to see how this reunion will play out even when during Sherlock these two barely have any scenes together. This can be just a marketing strategy but can also imply Rupert's character, Reggie Winters, might be important. Until we got further trailer or blurb we won't know.

Secondly, we got a bit more detailed about episode 3 of series 2. Last year when series two were announced, Mark shared about the theme for each episode. For episode 3, he only stated that it was a Christmas theme set in a German castle but now ScreenRant has "confirmed" that it is indeed set in a German castle and will be an Agatha Christie-esque murder case.

In the latest trailer, we could see Gabriel stood in front of a castle on snowing mountain while someone walking away toward said castle. Make me think that the trailer scenes are from each episode 1, 2, 3 in sequence. We also going to get more about Felix (Jack's father and Gabriel's lover) and possibly what happened to him and more about Gabriel's history. Even in the book, Gabriel barely talked about his time in Germany but it was implied he knew intelligent information that not many know.

Anyway, the last point that I find interesting is that we will understand about Gabriel's motivation to work with the police. In Series 1 Episode 3 when Edmund Kind talked with Gabriel in the underground bar, Edmund had told Gabriel how it was dangerous for Gabriel to work so closely with the police. Gabriel only smiled and said that he had his reasons and it seems we will finally learn about the reason behind Gabriel's sudden willingness to work with the police.

Also, to note, Eyepatch man from series 1 definitely knows that Gabriel with the police and he keep an eye on Gabriel's movement

Catalog it, I said. Not desecrate it.

I used to live with this woman that have a table full of small figurines. The first day I was told not to touch it, as some of them were old and valuable. One day, tho, helping her clean the house, she told me to clean the wood below the figures. Take the dust of them, that sort of thing. So I move every one of them with care, which mind you there were like fucking thousand, and put them in another table after cleaning. I clean the wood, put the figurines back and I think okay, more or less looks like before. No, it didn't. She yelled at me that I mess up her order, that some figures needed to be facing the windows for energy or the interior for good luck. So I tried to put them back as she told me. Days later, she'll moved one of them and throw me a look. Reminding me that I alter her "order" forever. Glad I'm not living with her anymore.

Anyway, this will be my last contribution to the Bookish Appreciation Week. I run out of ideas and I got my period so I'm dying inside right now. Mark Gatiss reacts to Bookish getting a second season and reveals new twist

The hit U&Alibi crime drama is set to return for a second series, and creator Mark Gatiss tells Yahoo UK what fans can expect.

"Without giving too much away, the second story in the second series is a bit more of a spy story, there's a murder but it's a spy story. And I really enjoyed the slightly different clothes it wears, you know. And I think that'll be interesting to try, and as much as it's lovely to do seven suspects in a room of a country house, or something, it is fun to find those variations and play with the genre, and also the time period."

The first series finds Book hiring a new member to his team, Jack (Connor Finch), to help with the bookshop but also with solving cases. But Book's hiring of juvenile delinquent Jack has another purpose, because he is the son of a lost love from Book's past.

Series 2 will continue to explore that relationship in more detail, particularly why Book is so adamant he wants to support Jack.

"It's still 1946 because if we carry on I don't want to race through it, because it's an interesting period, so it's a very busy year! So it just stretches," the writer says of the forthcoming series. "The story of what happened to Book, the reason Jack is there is explained in the rest of series 1 and continues in series 2. That's probably all I can say. There are books!"
