I think Sam had to do a lot this season with all the music recording on top of the acting. So he couldn't really relax or hang out much with even Jacob like he used to. Rolin talked about how Sam was isolated because of all the work. He still talks about Jacob and calls him his bestfriend. They have been calling each other that since season 1 and that hasn't changed. Sam said they cannot just take walks in Newyork (in that article) like they used to when not many people recognised them but more people do now and they probably moved their hanging out time to more private spaces which is understandable. Or maybe they use hats and shades like Sam usually do for some minimal disguise. So that's why we don't see the occasional Jam outing pictures anymore.

Sam is very shy and introverted and he seems like the kind of introvert who finds his person and usually sticks to them. Jacob is that person for him. For others he is just friendly and professional.

I’ve also been married for 19 years and have a teenage son. I just got back from a solo vacay in Hawaii (I do have a friend on Oahu who I did visit with as well). I know Jacob’s children are a lot younger but he certainly has the resources to get his wife any help she may need in terms of childcare (day/evening) or help around their home for a week. I bet they also have family and close friends that can step in to give her some free time and rest, if needed, while he’s away.

I know we will see Jacob in Sydney. Jacob jumping on a plane to go see his best friend on a theatre stage in a production he’s super excited about seems quite normal to me. I mean he would have a place to crash out at right?

Thank you for supporting my point that anons are being ridiculous. Jacob’s a millionaire, he can go places if, when, how and with whomever he wants. It’s absolutely normal. Just another example of people laying their own limitations/beliefs onto other people. I hope they all wind up with kids that are surgically attached so they can never be alone to even go to the bathroom 😅

If I make a friend in Sydney, you can bet your bottom dollar I’d go visit!
