James Hare's name is a play on the name "John Doe." A generic "J" name with instead of Doe (the name for a female rabbit) is instead his species, as most Toons have their last names to reflect their species.
James' ears perked as he heard another voice. "ANOTHER REDISIGN!? And he's looking more like Roger! It's going to be a shameless spinoff rather than just bringing back the old cartoons!"
