Thinking about Jentry Chau randomly, and spoilers for the show, but what age are we as the audience meant to understand Kit as? He's over 100 years old, but is he in the teenage stage of maturity for his species, or is he essentially an adult? The show implies he's had romantic relationships in the past with adults, and he would have no problem presenting himself as an adult to feed on others. He presents as a teenager in the show, but mainly to get close to Jentry. Kit can't really be either a teen or an adult. An adult praying on a teenager is bad don't get me wrong, but a teenager getting in relationships with adults for survival is also bad. At the end of the day, as an ageless creature who has a limited grasp on how to be a human being, does it even really matter?
The only other instance I can think of, of something like this happening (especially in media aimed at children) is in Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure where there was a love triangle between Scamp (clearly a child), Angel (might be a child), and Buster (clearly an adult). Even as a kid it made me kinda uncomfortable because either way, Angel is a child in a relationship with an adult, or an adult falling in love with a child.
Has this happened in anything else? Nebulous age gap romances in children's media? I can't think of anything else tbh.
