I just wanted to let you know that I took a very, very long break from Tumblr, and recently came back, and I am so glad to see that you are still here. You were one of my favorite blogs back in the day so it's nice to see a familiar face (I hope this isn't weird).

Ah yay I noticed that you were back! Not weird at all, super lovely actually 😊 You were one of my faves too, good to see you again. As for me I'll probably be here for eternity lol

Upright or reversed?

honestly? honestly? i don’t fuck with reversals and I shuffle to avoid them. there’s enough symbology and meaning without the reversals, which sometimes in my opinion come across as very tacked on. for my readings, personally, I just build in more nuance to the upright meanings, even if that means stuff like including the “negative” traits of a positive card or vice versa.

This is why the Hanged Man is my favorite card tbh.

I saw your post about dropsy and it reminded me: I had one of my goldfish get dropsy about 5 years ago. It lasted about a week and after treating with antibiotics it went away. I still have him and he is about 9 years old now, he seems completely normal. I wasn't really expecting him to make it. Just thought you might think it was interesting.

I’m glad to hear!

I’m not familiar with it as much in goldfish but hitting it hard with antibiotics is common for treating it in bettas. In most cases I’ve seen, though, it may help the secondary illnesses, but the fish seem not to last long after. I’m sure there are stories of bettas that do somehow pull off a miracle, though!

Any suggestions on how to deal with arthritis when you can't take painkillers? Thanks in advance!

Balms/creams/salves with capsaicin and arnica. Work for sore muscles and strains too.

Have you picked names for all the puppies yet?

I am still referring to them by collar colour right now. Only one of the pups has a name but I’m sure that will change. The tan collar boy I refer to as B-Two in honor of his grandfather and my first heart dog. All the confirmed new owners have names picked out for their dogs but until we evaluate them they aren’t sure which puppy will be theirs.

What kind of spider is this?

P. audax! A really beautiful jumping spider, known for those gorgeous blue or green chelicerae and those pretty white patterns :)
