When You Die
EDIT: Reuploading to add to my masterlist. I don’t take anymore requests for Harry Potter characters anymore, but these were pretty popular requests, so I though I would add them
I figured the reader would have died in the first battle so here we go, grab some tissues and chocolate bc we’re going to get super sad :-)))
Warning: MENTIONS OF BLOOD
• at first he wouldn’t cry
• because he couldn’t believe it
• and then he would kneel down and pull your body into his lap
• your limp, cold and bloody body
• there was so much blood
• it was pooled around the two
• his hands were slick with it
• the hands she held
• on walks
• on the sofa
• when they made love
• or when they were just falling asleep
• it felt as if Remus had just been injured too
• he finally breaks down, crying on your bloodstained chest, staining his already bloody face even further
• James and Sirius running to him because they see him fall but stopping when they see you
• Dumbledore and Minerva watching it all happen
• and Minerva breaks down into Albus’ shoulder
• they both had watched Remus’ hardships, and y/n was the one thing that gave him hope
• and now that was gone
• lily running to James and sobbing when she sees the scene
• a week later, the group holds a proper funeral for you
• so Remus has closure
• but he’s never the same
• he often has nightmares
•more-so than usual now
• and he wakes up looking to your side of the bed, only to realize it wasn’t just A dream
• he never finds love after that
• because he thought you were the one for him
• and only you
