First look at Disney Junior's new show, aka your preschooler's next obsession
Based on Jonny Duddle’s bestselling book of the same name, the show is developed and produced by France-based Cyber Group Studios.
The story follows four dinosaur friends:
Mazu, who’s inquisitive.
Tiny, who’s playful.
Bill, who’s timid.
Rocky, who’s courageous.
The quartet will tackle the mystery of “Gigantosaurus,” the biggest, fiercest dinosaur of all, as they go on “exciting, comedy-filled adventures as they dare to be themselves and explore the world beyond their nests,” according to the show’s release.
“Children have always been fascinated by dinosaurs and they will immediately relate to these unique characters, who, like them, are just beginning to assert their independence and learn about the importance of being themselves and being a good friend,” said Pierre Sissmann, chairman and CEO of Cyber Group Studios.
Dinosaur-loving kids are bound to be swept away by the show, which will be packed with such CGI-animated animals as Brachiosaurus and Triceratops, along with true-to-the-period plants.
“Gigantosaurus” is scheduled to premiere at 9 a.m. EST on Friday, Jan. 18, on Disney Channel and its app.
