mack and johnson
two bingos and yet they cant diva out at the applebee's with cass and jm, potentially while looking after a close friend's child as a community-building favor. and that's not good.
@soothfog asked: For Mack!
What’s their favorite [insert anything] that they’ve never recommended to anyone before?
Her favorite song! It’s a hymn her father wrote that her mother used to sing while the church pianist played. It’s not really replicable anymore in the form Mackenzie favors so much, as both her mother (killed by Shipley) and the pianist (killed by Mackenzie herself) are dead. Moreover, she feels like a hypocrite enjoying literally anything that her father created. She just has fond memories of her mother looking happy, singing.
If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?
Cass and JM @jupiter3 would be the best at this. No, I lied — Johnson, due to the nature of his ability to perceive, would be the best at this. He knows the exact hue of her eyes, the exact amount of times that she blinks. So an imposter would reveal themselves to Johnson first.
I think Cass or JM would ask Mack’s true opinions on people who lived in Knight. She had two faces in Knight: the leader’s dutiful daughter, the rebel-murderer-polyamorist. Not many people know how she truly felt about other residents of Knight, how complicated and nuanced her understanding of their devotion was. She genuinely loved many of these people—but she knew, according to her, what she had to do for the greater good.
What do they tell people they want? What do they actually want?
To soothe Cass, Mack claims to want peace and quiet. Her involvement in the documentary as well as her general temperament make it more than obvious that Mackenzie would never be okay with a peaceful, quiet life. She needs excitement, conflict, adventure. She needs people to fight with and clash against, or else she feels like she has nothing.
What’s a secret they haven’t told serious romantic partners and don’t plan to tell?
Killing isn’t a necessary evil. Like Shipley, she enjoys the violence and the blood.
Sometimes she lies about hooking up with people she hasn’t actually hooked up with to seem invested in how open and sexually explorative their relationship was when they were younger.
