He couldn’t convince himself to ever fall for someone that looked like you because he was used to his own personal preference of liking women who were slim and taut, bot that he was trying to be rude in any way by only liking slimmer women, and he never thought full figured women were ugly, they were just different and weren’t really for him.
But there had been something about the way your hips would sway that had him sporting a semi constantly whenever you were around, the width of your hips supporting those two globes he often wanted to grab or smack or even jostle in his hands, something about the way your breasts looked fuller and more appealing to him any time you’d lean down slightly and your cleavage was on display, but you were a shy one, often wearing modest clothes that covered you up, but those curves were always on display.
You were hired as Reed’s personal assistant around the lab, someone who didn’t know much about science or mathematics, honestly you didn’t know much about the fantastic four, making you the perfect candidate as Reed preferred someone who wouldn’t oogle him, his brother in law, nor Ben.
But you had a knack for organization, whether it came from you writing it down on your agenda or having every memory of where any file was placed, you were brilliant, and that was what Reed needed in an assistant, someone reliable.
Johnny knew there wasn’t a problem with liking someone like you, but he knew that of he ever overstepped, Reed would be pissed, so he often pretended you weren’t around, it helped with his little problem from time to time, until the moment you stepped up to him and he could feel his blood rushing south.
He could feel himself turning into a middle schooler all over again, nervous whenever his crush came around to the point where his palms started to sweat, but now that he’d hit puberty his little friend was starting to react too, it wasn’t something he could help, but he knew he’d never hear the end of it if Reed found out.
You’d stepped over so sweetly, whatever file Reed had handed you was tucked against your chest, hiding everything but the sway of your hips as you nervously approached him, your lips started moving but nothing was reaching Johnny’s brain as all he could think of was stuffing his cock between them, wondering how swollen and red they’d get, if you would even swallow his load or spit it out.
“-and he wanted me to come over to ask you what it was you’d need.”
He freezes as the last of your words finally make their way into his fucked up brain and he’s able to decipher half of your message, but he’s pissed at himself for missing the beginning, unable to depict what your words mean, a stupid confused look running through his face as he thinks as hard as he could to remember what it was you said, but he couldn’t.
“I’m sorry, I missed what you said.” He stated nervously as he finally looks up to your eyes and hears you repeat your question for a second time.
_________
“Ben is getting groceries and wanted me to come over to ask what you needed.” I repeated my words to Johnny nervously, hugging the file even closer and bringing my arms up to ensure it didn’t fall out of my hands.
I’d originally been hired to become Reed’s personal assistant to keep track of his files and equations, often finding myself copying his work on a sheet of crisp paper to clean it up after the mess he’d made on the chalk board, but over time I found myself picking up a fee more tasks here and there, eventually becoming three fourths of the Fantastic Four’s assistant.
The human torch was often monotone and colder towards me and I had a feeling it was because he didn’t like my presence all that much, so I’d taken it upon myself to keep our encounters to a minimum and not overstep, assuring myself to stay out of his way as to not annoy him. Although I had caught him staring at me with a particular look on his face I couldn’t place, I’d realized each time it happened I’d laughed particularly louder than I would have otherwise at one of Ben’s jokes, wanting to utter an apology but averting my eyes from him and turning around once more, I’m certain if I tried apologizing I’d receive no response from him.
“Maybe some cereal,” He trails off at the end, his stare averting from mine before he turned his head and nodded once.
“Yeah.” He stated in a sure manner before stepping around me and walking away. I sighed out a breath I hadn’t realized I’d been holding and nod, of course he’d want cereal- speaking of which, he’d left a box of cereal in Reed’s work station and I should probably get it before Reed gets upset.
I turn swiftly and walk over towards Reed’s personal office in the lab, taking the file from my chest to read the title I’d written on it after peeking at it earlier, sliding myself into his office and opening one of the filing cabinets and letting my fingers glide across the alphabetized files before sliding this one in. Turning once more to walk out of the office and towards the coffee pot.
I’d taken the liberty to swing my the kitchen to grab some vanilla syrup, closing the cabinet with my hip before walking over towards the pot that had finished brewing. I took the marker out of my pocket and labeled three cups with the three names I often scribbled on. I grasped the pot with a careful hand and filled each cup to a specific point.
Ben’s cup was filled to the brim with hot black coffee, no sugar, no creamer, no flavor, just plain and hot. Next was Reed’s cup, filling it a little under the brim to ensure I had room for four sugars, but he also preferred no creamer to his. And lastly was Sue’s, I squirted two pumps of vanilla into her cup, added three sugars and a dash of creamer, then proceeded to pour a dash of coffee in, grabbing it with my free hand and swirling the flavors around before filling it the rest of the way up.
I grasped all three coffee’s in my hand and headed over towards Reed first, he stood by the chalk board attempting to figure… something out, but I walked behind him and placed his coffee on his desk, making sure to step out of his way as he instinctively reaches back for the cup and takes a swig. He sighs happily and his shoulders appear less tense before setting his cup back down and I watched his arm stretch back toward him.
“You’re a life saver.” He comments and I laugh lightly before going over toward Sue, she sometimes slept in when Franklin let her and I haven’t seen her around, walking over toward her office door holding her coffee out just in time to see her pop out, she takes a step back with a surprising oh leaving her lips before she takes her coffee and drinks from it, her smile spreading before taking a second drink all while I pass by her.
“Thank you, sweets.” She comments as she takes a third swig and I chuckle before replying.
“You’re most welcome, sweets.” I smile as I head back towards Reed’s lab to circle back towards Ben, ensuring to grab Johnny’s cereal box he’d left, thankful that Reed hadn’t turned around during our interaction, and finally getting back toward the man with the grocery list.
“He said he wanted more cereal.” I stated while shaking the half full box in my hand and sliding his coffee toward him at the same time.
Ben only shakes his head in a disappointed but half expectant manner as he jots it down.
“Oh!” I pop up again as I remembered something. “Sue mentioned the other day that she may need more size two diapers for Franklin, she was down to her diaper bag stash and I think she’s about out.”
“Your memory is truly impeccable.” Ben states kindly as he jots down the diapers.
“Did you need anything?” He asks and I can feel my cheeks getting red. I’d asked him a week ago if he could grab cookies from the grocery store since I’d been on my period and craving something sweet, he’d ended up going out of his way to a bakery and grabbing ones he thought I’d like.
“N-no, I’m good, but thank you I appreciate it.” I added and watched as he smiled, I was too embarrassed to mention that even though I wasn’t craving them, I’d actually want more of those cookies.
“I’ll definitely get you more cookies.” He responded before standing up and walking out, his coffee in hand, grocery list in the other.
________
It wasn’t long before Johnny had found another file while snooping through Reed’s office, something he wanted to be brought to light with his brother-in-law’s brilliant mind, he knew how much of a hard ass he could come across as but he truly wished Reed set aside some time to be more inventive and allow himself to have fun and relax every once in a while.
His feet stopped walking as soon as he’d heard a familiar laugh ring through the air, the hair on his arms standing at attention at the woman whose laughter was cut off with an adorable snort before her laughter continued again, he was allowing himself to enjoy it until he’d heard the gravelly laugh of his best friend joining in, his body stiffening at the thought of someone else making you laugh.
His grip on the manila folder tightens as he hears the two of you having a grand old time, it appears you’ve gotten close with Ben over the course of eight months you’d worked with everyone, and it was a huge punch to the chest that he couldn’t be the one to make you laugh like that, letting out a short and quick exhale before stepping through the door before he could stop himself.
“Didn’t realize it was comedy hour,” His voice comes our rather rough and even he wants to recoil from how disgusted he sounded.
He’d watched as you’d jumped at his sudden intrusion, the crinkles in your eyes disappearing as your smile falters, your hands coming off of Ben’s shoulder rather quickly.
“Johnny,” You greeted without much enthusiasm. “Didn’t see you there,” You offered a polite smile his way, maybe you were trying to lighten the mood.
“Yeah, not surprising.” Came his quick witted remark and he’d wanted to punch himself for speaking so rudely to you, but it was like he couldn’t help it as the familiar feeling of jealousy grew in the pit of his stomach, he wanted to stop but he couldn’t.
“We were just-“ You began to explain before it was cut short.
“Laughing?” He questions and for the first time his eyes meet yours, icy blue meeting sweet and confused before he opened his mouth again. “Yeah I heard.” He shifted his gaze downward to attempt to stop himself from sounding like a prick but it made him look like an asshole.
“Is that… is that a problem?” You blinked as you were thrown for a loop at how much this was disturbing him, u sure of why but certain you had somehow crossed an invisible line with him, but you couldn’t bring yourself to know which line it had been, although you weren’t too fond of his tone right now.
“No. Why would it be?” He asks and you almost gave him sass, a nasty remark that would probably get you fired but you didn’t care at this point, you didn’t stand for being ridiculed, until he opened his mouth again, a much softer and gentler tone than previous.
“Didn’t know you laughed like that around him.”
“Excuse me?” You asked rather flabbergasted at his choice of words, were you not allowed to have a good time with the people in the group that actually tolerated you, or does he hate you so bad that he doesn’t want to see you enjoy yourself?
“Forget it.”
“What exactly is your issue, Storm. You usually go out of your way to ignore me and now you’re… what, mad that I laughed at someone else’s joke?”
“I’m not mad.”
“Then what?” You asked in an annoyed fashion before he brings the manilla folder out from under his arm and practically raises it in front of your face.
“Nothing. Just found something I thought Reed would like to see.” He doesn’t wait to turn around and walk away after you yank it from his hands, an insult building at the back of your throat, but Johnny had disappeared before you could voice it.
_________
I stood there with the manilla folder in my hand, staring at the spot Johnny had disappeared from with confusion wrapped around my brain, the words I’d wanted to say uselessly dying on my tongue.
Johnny Storm was the most insufferable man I had ever met. He’d been rude, dismissive, arrogant, and now he was jealous? No. That didn’t make any sense. He did not like me- He’d made that plenty clear since day one with his clipped words and cold stares, walking out of the room two seconds after I’d entered it, I told myself that I didn’t care, I’d stopped trying to make him like me months ago.
But something about his tone was making me second guess myself, why was the way he looked at me -like it physically hurt him to watch me laugh with someone else- make my heart almost lurch out of my chest.
I froze for a beat as I began to wonder what I was thinking, theres no way I discerned that from a simple interaction with him, but there was a nagging feeling at the back of my mind telling me otherwise.
“He’s just being a jackass,” Ben stated as he stood beside me, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder, the type of action that meant I’m here for you.
“Are you okay?” He asks again after a beat of silence.
I only blinked as I tried to process my own emotions from the altercation, trying to mask the chaos swirling in my head, but wondering why this was all happening in the first place.
“Yeah, I just…”
What? What was I supposed to say? That Johnny storm, world-class asshat and full thorn on my side has just looked at me like I’d betrayed him? Like the sound of me laughing with Ben had punched a hole on his heart?
No.
That was insane.
“Is he always like that?” I asked as I attempted to sound casual, like this situation wasn’t bugging me, but I believe the both of us knew how much it was bothering me- my heart pounding louder than my voice.
“Johnny is Johnny, he get’s moody, you know how he is.” Ben shrugs.
I swallowed thickly because the truth of the matter is I did know. So why did it feel like he cared now- but an even better question to that was- why the hell was it bothering me now?
“He doesn’t like me,” I stated like I’d been trying to get myself to believe it all over again, the waver in my voice causing me to not believe it anymore, but it was true mere moments ago- he hated me, right? And when I expected Ben to argue and tell me that it wasn’t true, he met me with a question instead.
“Sure about that?”
I hated how that made my pulse spike, hated how even more that I suddenly couldn’t remember why I’d been so sure of that in the first place, because Johnny didn’t act like a man who didn’t like me, he was acting like a man trying not to.
_________
Walking over to place his cup of coffee with four sugars in front of him this time I couldn’t help but let out a small sigh as my thoughts ran rampant. Reed had barely looked up from the lab desk he was at when he spoke, eyes not coming up to meet mine as he continues wiring some new invention, voice projecting to make sure I heard him.
“Could you and Johnny take the hovercar and grab the component I left in my secondary lab? I’ll need it for this experiment to work.” His eyes were glued as he carefully splits the wiring.
“Johnny?” I blinked and felt near frozen, I thought I’d have the rest of the day to avoid him, but of course, the universe was cruel.
“Mm,” Reed nods absently before letting go of his trinket and grasping a pen to write something in his horrible chicken scratch that I’d have to rewrite later before continuing. “Ben isn’t back yet, Sue’s busy, Johnny can drive.” He reassures me.
The hovercar was quiet- too quiet.
I could hear the gentle hum of the engine as we drove, the soft hissing of the air regulator that disappeared whenever the gas pedal was pushed a little harder, and the sound of my own heart thumping in my chest. My fingernails were tempting me to chew on them as I nervously bounced my leg in the passenger seat, the weird component Reed had asked for rocking back and forth with each bounce of my leg, the silence was beginning to get too loud for me to handle, and yet I refused to be the first to speak.
Johnny had sat with a death grip on the controls, like they’d personally offended him somehow. Ever since Reed had made him drive me to the secondary lab, he’d kept his lips sealed, not even asking me if I had buckled in before he took off.
Which was fine.
Totally fine.
Except it wasn’t.
Not after everything that had happened yesterday night, not after that look he gave me, like I’d wronged him for simply laughing at one of Ben’s jokes, not after the folder slap and storm-off performance.
“Are you going to keep pretending I don’t exist the whole ride back, or…?” I had unfortunately been the first to crack, the anger growing in my chest after finally expressing how uncomfortable the silence had made me, my eyes peering over toward him watching for any kind of reaction.
“I’m not pretending.” He graces me with an answer, his jaw tightened before speaking, yet he refused to look over at me.
“Could’ve fooled me.” I stated as I leaned back in my seat, finding it in me to stop bouncing my leg, opening my big fat mouth again. “You only talk to me when its absolutely necessary, and even then, you act like you’re doing me a favor.” I crossed my arms against my chest.
His arms tighten on the wheel. “Thats not fair.”
“Isn’t it?” I shot back, shooting daggers toward him, I just couldn’t believe he was telling me what wasn’t fair.
“Because from where I’m sitting, you go out of your way to ignore me… until suddenly I’m laughing at someone else’s joke, and then you get jealous out of nowhere.” I’d about had it, but he stays silent after that, continuing with our path back to the baxter building.
“What is your problem with me, Johnny?” I asked as I allowed myself to be vulnerable with that question, not able to wrap my brain or thoughts around it any more, wanting to give him a chance to tell me why it is I bother him so much.
He exhales slowly- controlled. Almost too controlled.
“I don’t have a problem with you.”
“Thats not what it feels like.”
He turned his head just enough to glance at me, this has been the first time he’s ever willingly turned to look at me, and his eyes weren’t cold, they were on fire.
“You think it’s easy for me to ignore you?” He asks, voice low and rough. “You think I want to act like a dick every time you walk in the room?”
My breath catches as he speaks, he isn’t yelling, and surprisingly doesn’t have his signature smirk, he was there… unfiltered.
“Then why do you?” I asked with my voice barely above a whisper, not quite understanding what it was he was attempting to tell me, my eyes meeting his.
“Because if I didn’t,” He growled, eyes flickering to my lips, then back toward my eyes. “I’d end up doing something I couldn’t take back.”
The hovercar lands with a soft thud, not allowing me to wrap my mind around the words he’d stated, yet neither of us moved. The silence buzzes between us, thick and electric.
“What kind of something?” I find myself blurting out, heart thudding against my ribs.
He finally turns toward me, completely this time, and the look on his face was nothing short of hunger. He hadn’t touched me yet, but it felt like he had, his eyes dragged over my face, down to my chest, and back up again. Hot, slow, and consuming.
“The kind that starts with me backing you up against the control panel,” He stated, voice dark and barely restrained. “ and ends with me showing you just how long I’ve been not thinking about you.”
I felt a heat surge straight through my body, low, deep, impossible to ignore, and suddenly it settles on my core.
“Well you haven’t done a very good job.” I murmur, surprised at my own response.
“No,” He admitted, voice thick with want. “I haven’t.”
His sudden proximity hadn’t surprised me until his lips finally collided with mine, one hand coming to cup my cheek while the other grasped my hip, my mouth almost detaching from him as he presses his hand on my hip harder but the hand on my cheek had traveled behind my neck and kept me stagnant.
I’ve had one person touch me the way Johnny was my whole life, truthfully I was confident then, but with the way my body was I couldn’t begin to think what thoughts may be running through his head, was he even sure he wanted this, especially with me?
I know the type of women Johnny Storm would bed, doubt creeping up in my mind as my thoughts spiraled, until he playfully bit my lip to draw a gasp out of me, his tongue taking the chance to explore my mouth, the component making a loud sound as it falls out of my lap, snapping my head back from the kiss and staring down at the part.
“Reed’s going to kill me!” I exclaimed and watch as Johnny playfully rolls his eyes.
“Can we not mention him while we’re- you know.” His signature smirk is back and he looks like the same cocky bastard he was when I’d first met him.
“We should really get this part to him,” I stated silently and watch as the hovercar’s hatch hisses open, Johnny reaching between myself and the floor to grasp the part, carelessly holding it with one hand as he tugs my arm, effectively sliding me across the center and driver’s seat. I place my feet on the cement below as soon as he lets go of my arm and I feel the warmth he’d provided slipping away.
Johnny makes his way through the garage rather quickly as I watch his slender legs taking long strides towards the elevator, his ass a rather great view, but I had to stop myself from giggling like a school girl or else it would lead to him asking questions I didn’t want to answer. He presses the button and the elevator dings automatically, I manage to slide in just before he turned around, feeling my nerves on fire from the kiss we’d shared, but I’m quick to press the basement button where Reed was.
The actual lab he was in was conveniently in the basement of the building, it had the most space and it made the most sense for the types of projects Reed wanted to run, his half lab was in the penthouse of the building where he could do his controlled and already tested projects, while his second lab was located away from here.
This elevator ride was quiet, but not like the silence we’d experienced before, this silence was thick and charged, my heartbeat was once again loud in my own ears. Johnny didn’t even pretend to face forward once I turned to take a peek, his eyes dragging over me like he’d been peeling back every layer.
The elevator dings to let us know we’ve arrived on our floor and the doors pop open, I take my eyes off Johnny and head on over toward where the lab was, except his hand enclosed around my wrist once more- not rough but firm enough to make me stop.
“Come here,” He said low and sure, pulling me toward an unmarked door in the hallway.
“Johnny-“
“Two minutes,” He cut in, already keying in a code, the door clicks open to reveal a smallish storage room, shelves lined with spare tech, a full bed in the corner for late nights.
The second I heard the door shut behind us I turned around, his hands were on my body once more, one on the small of my back and the other cupping my cheek like he’d couldn’t decide whether to devour me or hold me still. His lips met mine, hot and urgent, stealing my breath before I could even argue.
“Johnny, Reed-“
“Reed’s not here right now,” He murmurs against my mouth, walking me backwards until my legs hit the bed. “And you’re not leaving until I…” he trailed off, eyes flicking to my lips, “…get this out of my system.”
I barely had time to gasp as his mouth found mine once more, kissing me deeper than he had previously, his hand trailing from the small of my back down towards my hip and giving a gentle squeeze, the hand that was placed on my cheek was now bunching up the skirt I’d chosen to wear today while resting it between my thighs.
I was growing even more nervous as his hands had to practically bully their way past my thighs if he wanted to get toward where he was reaching, and even though I wasn’t preventing him from getting past, my thighs were already touching- something I’m certain he’d never had to deal with before. But before I could voice my insecurity his lips began to trail my jaw bone, his hands already pushing past my thighs and somehow managed to part my underwear towards one side, his skillful little finger parting my slit as he glides his hand against my clit wonderfully.
“Already soaked, just for me?” He cheekily replies, my face growing hot as he draws slow circles teasingly, my knees growing weak, my hand was starting to fist his shirt as I let out a breath of air I hadn’t realized I was holding. He doesn’t seem to wait for an answer as his mouth joins my neck and he suckles on my pulse point, a moan being drawn from my lips as I cut it short after realizing the sound I made. He doesn’t waste any time in shoving his finger into my cunt, another gasp rippling through my lips as I practically pull his body on mine as I fall onto the bed, he only chuckles while continuing to pump is finger inside of me.
I’d done my fair share of things with my first- and only- boyfriend before he broke up with me due to my appearance, he was the reason I resented my body for the way it was, after him I’d been celibate for about two years, not bothering to pleasure myself even when I’d craved it because it meant I had to touch a body I didn’t love.
Before I could contemplate anymore negative thoughts I feel him slip a second finger inside of me, scissoring me open before pumping both fingers in unison, my legs starting to stretch apart to accommodate his rather large hand between my thighs.
“Johnny-“ I moan as his eyes find mine. He looked like he was about to say something before there had been a knocking on the door, I could feel myself inhale through my nose rapidly as my cunt squeezes his fingers, my hands coming up to grasp his shoulder tightly.
“Hey,” Ben’s voice was unmistakable, too close. “You two back with the part yet?”
I could feel my pulse spiking, Johnny acting rather calmly as my eyes search his for guidance, we should probably stop, right?
That was until I felt him curve his fingers over a spot inside me that had my vision turning white, I’d shut my eyes, my bottom lip coming up between my teeth as I hear Johnny groan. He continues to finger my pussy without stopping, my eyes shooting towards the door as Ben knocks once more, rattling the doorknob but not quite getting the door open, it makes me wonder if he knew the door code.
“Reed’s waiting.” Ben mutters more to himself than he was to us.
“Let him wait.” Johnny whispers a n my ear as he continues to push his thick fingers into me, pushing them deeper while his palm smacks against my cunt, capturing my clit and rubbing against it before he pulls his fingers back. I feel his thumb take his palms place as he rubs large circles over my sensitive bud, the sound of metal lightly tinkling making my eyes turn towards the culprit.
It was at this point that I’d finally seen Johnny’s cock straining in his pants, his belt having been undone with one hand as his other continued to pump his fingers into me.
“You’re such a good girl, sweetheart,” He whispers as he kisses my temple, a particularly skilled movement from his fingers causing me to jolt and gasp as he rubs against the same spot.
“Taking my fingers so well.” I hear a grunt come from him as he shoves his fingers back in, building up speed from before, the sound of my liquids being disturbed by his fingers ringing in my ears.
“Johnny, please-“ I whined lowly, voice slightly above a whisper but quiet enough to not be heard- hopefully. It’s not until he withdraws his fingers that I stop another whine from slipping past my throat that I hear the loud thumps of Ben’s receding footsteps.
Johnny takes the fingers he withdrew- I clench around nothing- into his mouth, allowing my juices to coat his tongue while his eyes roll back into his head, a loud groan coming from him and I’m thankful Ben had chosen that moment to leave.
“You taste divine,” He comments as his hands work their way towards the button on his tightened pants, his cock continuing to strain against the material of the almost too-tight white jeans, he’d worn them before and it honestly makes his ass look good, but I didn’t give a shit about those pants once they came off, his underwear mixed in with the pile they’d made on the floor.
Eyes widened I stare at his thick, pulsing member, his hands on his hips as he stands proudly before me, my eyes find his for the millionth time today and I can see his cheeky smirk coming back to play.
“Like what you see?”
A scoff slips from my lips before I could stop it, partly to mask the way my thighs press together, and partly because he already knows the answer.
“Fishing for compliments, Storm?” I quirk an eyebrow as he brings himself closer towards me, slotting himself perfectly between my thighs, strong arms keeping him hovering above my body.
“Not fishing, just making sure you’re paying attention.” His proximity has my breath catching, the faint scent of smoke and something distinctly him curls around me.
“Especially since Ben is still in the hallway,” He stated smoothly and from the looks of it, he’s right, I can hear the soft gruffness of Ben’s voice becoming clearer as he knocks on the doors going down the hall, my face getting hot at the thought of potentially being caught- really getting caught this time.
“If you can’t keep quiet, sweetheart…” His voice dips lower as he gets closer toward my face, I can feel something prodding at my slit and come to the realization that he’s holding himself up with one hand while the other glides his cock against my folds.
“…we’ll be explaining a lot more than a missing part to Reed.” He stated easily as the tip of his cock slips in, stealing the breath from my lungs, a groan slipping past my lips before I feel his warm hand clamp down on my mouth, a gentle reminder to keep quiet.
_________
A smirk, disheveled hair, and your underwear tucked in his back pocket was exactly how Johnny Storm had chosen to exit the utility closet the two of you had just christened. The bed in there was still a mystery; it fit perfectly, clearly intentional, but no one knew who’d hauled it down to the basement. Not that either of you were about to ask.
“Where have you been?” Reed’s voice cuts through Johnny’s leisurely stroll, Johnny’s hands coming up in mock surrender as he comes face-to-face with his brother-in-law, his smirk turning downward as he answers Reed’s question.
“Chill out- we just got back.” He said, trying to calm the fuming scientist before him, but nothing would have prepared him for his next question- not in his post-fucked state, with his hair still a mess, and your underwear burning a hole in his pocket.
“Wheres my component?” Reed demanded, the words pushing through clenched teeth, proof that he’d been waiting too long for the part he was asking for.
“Uh-“ Johnny froze, u sure of what to say next as he’d left the component in the closet with you, going back now wouldn’t work because you might be seconds away from opening the door and exiting yourself.
You’d taken that time to step out of the closet, smoothing your skirt out before walking down the hallway, Reed had sounded irritated and the last thing you wanted was for the two of them to bicker.
“I’ve got it,” You stated smoothly as you extend your hand, the part sitting rather heavily in your palm, your own hair a bit of a mess as a few strands lay uneven.
Reed’s eyes flicker between you and Johnny, clearly suspicious but having no proof, he purses his lips as if he’s ready to make some sort of accusation but stops himself before he can speak it.
“Fine. Just don’t take twice as long next time.” He grumbles before turning around and walking back into the lab.
Johnny exhales like he’d dodged a bullet, watching his brother-in-law disappears into his work, leaning closer just for you to hear.
“Pretty sure I owe you my life.” He smiles before his brain seems to short circuit.
“And dinner.” He adds after the events of the storage closet catch up with him.
