Duke Thomas - Truths and Falses
Soooooo there is a lot of people who genuinely don't know about Duke's character and think he's some sunshine preppy boy who does no wrong bc of that godawful webtoon Wayne Family Adventures. So I'm here to clear sum shi up. For the sake of the fandom and my sanity.
PSA: READING THIS POST DOES NOT AND WILL NOT MAKE YOU A DUKE EXPERT. I'M NOT EVEN A DUKE EXPERT. HE IS SO MUCH MORE THAN I CAN EXPLAIN AND IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HIM PLEASE LOOK UP A COMIC READING LIST!!!!
"Duke is a ball of Sunshine" FALSE
Duke is NOT a sunshine preppy boy. Let me repeat this. Duke is NOTTTRR a sunshine preppy boy. If you've actually read a comic you can tell Duke is a menace and actually pretty serious and down to business. He got recruited by Alfred for a robin team and this nga came in and took over the group. No one can tell me that this is preppy boy behavior.
"He's my fav walking flashlight." FALSE
He is NOT a walking flashlight. It was a cute little joke but its gotten out of hand. Duke's powers are genuinely so insane to the point I can't even explain them in detail and I'm actively finding more out every day but to put it lightly he has access to the shadow realm and light realm. He has time manipulation which he started to explore and earth metals. I need to check more sources and read more before I actually into depth about his powers but this is just to be broad.
"Duke Thomas is NOT a Robin." FALSE
Duke IS a Robin. The argument I hear about Duke time and time again is the question if he's a Robin and the answer is yes. Yes he is a Robin. He led the robin movement he is a robin just look at this drip.
"Duke Thomas is a bum." FALSE
If I had 5 dollars for everything someone said Duke is a bum in my comments I would be richhhhh. I really hate this statement because it just comes from people who genuinely know nothing about Duke Thomas and instead of doing research they immediately deflect and call him a bum. It's childish and extremely immature and it breaks my heart because people expect everything and all information to be handed to them right then at that moment
"He's not even technically apart of the Batfamily." FALSE
I'm not even go into depth about this just no.
