JORDANIANS RALLY IN SUPPORT OF PALESTINIANS DESPITE GOVERNMENT SUPPRESSION
📹 Scenes from demonstrations in the Jordanian capital of Amman on Friday, as protesters rally despite intense government suppression, in support of Palestinians who remain under siege, blockade and bombardment by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip.
Thousands of Jordanians have been protesting to end the genocide in Gaza on a daily basis, besieging the Israeli embassy, condemning the genocide and calling for a ceasefire.
At the same time, Jordanian security forces have been meeting the protests with increasing intensity and violence as the Jordanian government covers for the Israeli occupation's crimes, going so far as to ban protest banners, the flag of Palestine and keffiyehs, although enforcement has been intermittent.
Some Jordanians have even been banned from protests by the government, while subjecting others to Invasive body searches and identification checks.
