Breaking: Phelps Promotes from Within the Family

Napa Valley’s Joseph Phelps Vineyards has promoted two Phelps family members to executive roles as part of a long-term succession plan. Elizabeth Neuman, granddaughter of winery founder Joseph Phelps, is being promoted from regional sales manager to director of business development. Will Phelps, grandson of Joseph Phelps and son of winery president Bill Phelps, has been named director of marketing. He previously was on Phelps’ California sales team. Bill Phelps said the moves are in line with the vision to maintain Joseph Phelps Vineyards as “a family-owned and run winery.”
