Introducing: Bearson

A cleverly-reworked portmanteau between his middle and last name, with Bjørn meaning “bear” in the Scandinavian languages, Bearson is the personification of Jakob Bjørn Hansen of Norway. As one of the earliest proponents of the Norway’s tropical house movement, Bearson after his over 40 million of streams on the Spotify platform and counting has since moved onto other endeavors. Under the direction of his co-founded label Next Wave Rcords, Bearson’s been and collaborating with indie-electro starlets ASHE, Kailee Morgue, MNDR and most recently with fellow Norwegian Lemaitre and producer josh pan. His latest track titled “It’s Not This” featuring the former and latter, has a soft, stage theater-like air dancing and prancing over the quirk of its skewing synth delivery and the echoing ring from the track’s vocal resonance. “I Only Need One” featuring MNDR is a cozy embrace of fluttery vocals from the North Dakotan artist’s distinctive rasp; whilst “Get Lost” shares the yearning howl of Ashe’s anxious emotion and the hook-heavy, staggering punch of Kailee Morgue’s builds upon her lofty coax.
