When you first joined the RFA, you reminded Jumin of Jaehee.
You were always studying, rarely taking breaks and when you did take a break, it was only to work on the party or talk to the other RFA members.
Jumin would rarely speak to you unless he had to as you really reminded him of his assistant.
In all honesty, he wasn’t particularly bothered about your unhealthy study habits; all he cared for was having a successful party.
He was aware you were skipping meals to study, but he didn’t exactly care for your health. He only cared about the party (okay, a tiny bit of him did care, but he ‘logically’ reasoned with himself that he didn’t even know you, so it was pointless caring).
Well, that didn’t last long…
Eventually, you piqued Jumin’s interest when you defended him from the RFA’s ruthless teasing about how cold he is.
He wasn’t sure why you were defending him. In his eyes, he hadn’t done anything to deserve it, but here you were, defending him and being logical.
He told himself he’d give you a chance from then on as you seemed as though you wouldn’t judge him for how he acts and his closed off personality.
The closer you two got, the more worried he became.
It was clear you weren’t sleeping or eating; you really weren’t taking care of yourself.
No matter how many times the other’s told you to put yourself first, you wouldn’t. You always had an excuse as to why you had to study.
Jumin tried to help, of course, he was starting to care for you.
He no longer saw you as someone like his assistant, but as a friend… a potential lover, if you will (yes, he had feelings for you).
You were constantly studying/working, and it seemed like you would work yourself into an early grave.
Jumin was worried, everyone was.
Perhaps that was a reason Jaehee pleaded with you to go visit Jumin to see if he was okay.
You brought your work – you had to, at least in your eyes – and would work/study when you weren’t working on the party.
Jumin tried to pry you away from your work but struggled.
You wouldn’t eat the food specifically prepared for you when you were working, and even if you did, it was small portions; you just had no appetite, stress, he assumed.
Jumin tried everything, he even offered to pay your university so that you wouldn’t have to study as much. You said no, of course, something which he appreciated it, even though he knew you didn’t want him for his money.
The whole issue with Glam Choi and Sarah was causing you more stress, as to be expected. You were being told how you would never amount to anything, which only made you study more. Jumin knew that he had to do something… anything. He swore to himself that he wouldn’t let you overwork yourself any longer.
So, he arranged with your university to be able to take a break after the party, and they agreed, knowing who he was, and after the party, you both went away on a trip.
Your trip was perfect (obviously, it was Jumin’s idea, and he had everything planned) and when you came back, he told (threatened) you that if you didn’t stop overworking yourself, he would only spend more money on you, something which you didn’t want.
It was difficult to change your habits, and it took time, but Jumin was with you every step of the way, as were the other RFA members.
Your friends (and classmates) were so shocked to find out you were dating Jumin, by the way. Some people hated you for it out of jealousy, others were very happy for you and said you deserved it and that they hope he makes you very happy (he does).
Overall, Jumin will not let you overwork yourself ever again and always makes sure you take care of yourself.
