im sure youve been asked b4 (whether on this blog or another) but what would you look like as a warrior? your name? what clan would you be in?

I have answered before, but it gives me an excuse to pull out that old sketch again, so I'll answer you here!

My sona for Warriors is a dark grey tabby named Sootstorm. They're native to WindClan, though they've got the attitude of a RiverClan cat. They might have moved there if they weren't so opposed to getting wet.

They probably should have been called -throat, given their love of storytelling and whatever the hell their speaking pattern is, but they were quite explosive and a mood-swinger as an apprentice, so -storm was the obvious suffix. They've chilled out significantly over time, though they can get randomly excited and start yelling incoherently about whatever topic they like. They're pretty lazy compared to the WindClan average, but they'll work if given direction.

And they are really fond of lying in weird poses that enunciate how ridiculously lanky they are, combined with snarking at whoever they are currently talking to (when they aren't being clowned on by their friends). It's a good time.

✨ –  initial thoughts / opinions

for roachwhisker, my initial thoughts were oh GOD, ROACH – okay but truly, roachwhisker came off to me as just a sad little guy and i definitely felt a lot of sympathy for him. it was super sweet to watch him fall in easily with wigeonfur and thrushfur at the start of his time in nettleclan. 

for pollenpaw i think he pretty immediately came off as a problem child. i was interested to see where his anger would go, whether or not he’d adapt to clan life or resent having to live there, and i was just...curious to see what sort of issues he was inevitably going to cause.

roachwhisker’s suffix is just fine with me but we all know how i feel about roaches, so! i think briarwhisker could’ve been really sweet for him, or maybe even bramblewhisker!

as for pollenpaw, it’s sort of an odd one, but i think lightning- would be a neat prefix for him. lightningpaw, and then...lightningclaw, perhaps? 

🌈 –  something i want to happen in their character arc 

roachwhisker has gotta get his confession to rushheart GOING. we know he has feelings, we know rushheart needs relief after the disaster with marigoldheart...really, though, even if he doesn’t confess soon, i’d love to see him sort of fall into the role of comforting rushheart through his...not quite break up, but. you know. 

with pollenpaw, i’d like to see him lean a bit into being a dumb / rash teenager...i don’t know quite which bad decision i’d like him to make, but it’s about time he does something a little out of control / in bad judgement. maybe fighting a clanmate, maybe crossing a border for prey...i just feel like his spark has been a bit less blatant lately and i’d love to see him get back to being more troublesome.
