I'm starting to think some people's attractions aren't fetishes, but get labelled such because they're viewed as "irregular" by our wretched society, and because they don't fall under its standards of beauty and stuff. e.g. "They're white/skinny/straight but date black/asian/fat/trans people so it must be a fetish."

Mind you, there are absolutely people who fetishize all sorts of things, and you can usually tell by the language they use in reference to it to be fair, but I think that sometimes it's just preference that people jump the gun on, a feature they find attractive like any other (dark or light hair, big or small nose, blue or brown eyes,) that they end up getting called some kind of pervert for.
