Day 14

Was feeling a little under the weather today, hopefully I’ve kicked it before it can set in and ruin my month. Not as much output as normal but well on track to win (probably on Friday? don’t want to jinx it) and finish the novel by the end of the month.

The part I’m on is a weird technical bit, not technical in terms of the writing but what the characters are concerned with, it’s just really fidgety and high concept. I have no idea whether it would go over well with the reader, tbh. just throwing a lot of vaguely physics-y shit all at once. not really complicated stuff -- I’m not even close to being a physicist -- just. physics suddenly becomes relevant where before it was just like “huh. I guess physics is weird.”

note to self for 2nd draft, ease into this more gradually. for related reasons, I changed the genre category on the nanowrimo site to scifi. feels good to be more certain on that front since I was waffling between soft scifi and fantasy for a while. Oh! Also my MC’s name changed again lol, though this time not as drastically, just the spelling.
