I CANNOT believe Clara went SO close to eating Iruma, WTAF!!! After everything Kiriwo went through, she was literal inches from doing it?!?! AAAAAAA (kinda laughing tho)

And it was again Asmodeus who saved Iruma!!!

Btw this reminded me all of a sudden that Iruma is a human, unlike everyone else, and one of the premises of the entire story is him not to be found out and eaten... Wow, what a throwback

Also: do you think demons (all of them or just the Valac family) can eat other demons to absorb their power and personhood??? Because Clara eating Iruma to be forever with him wouldn't make much sense if she was to destroy him... But on the other hand, she's totally not clear-headed right now, and the fear of separation may be stronger than her reasoning capabilities...

IF this was true, though, since she thinks Iruma is a demon, maybe it's another aspect of her/their powers...?

And holy cow, I LOVE the chapter's last two pages 😭 the way Asmodeus knew he had to intervene that way because he already went through it...

...and the fact he used Clara's name TWICE after finding out him not using her name bugged her 😭😭😭

It's so cool to see their similarities and differences! Asmodeus chose Iruma's name as safeword, while Clara, having Iruma in front of her, went even further into her wickedness. Also, the use of names!!! Iruma's name is what made Asmodeus come to, while Clara's own name (uttered by Azz) is what is possibly working - see the shape of her pupils, which is no longer a clear heart.

And don't make me start on the first half of the chapter, I was legit crying when the "I'm worried" part started... So relatable ughhhh
