SAIKO. How do I even begin with you, honestly?

You were there years ago on my old blog, you saw and talked to a younger me, you’ve seen how I was, shy and unsure, just ambling along and trying to figure out how the fuck to maneuver myself around the animu side of Tumblr RP. You were there while I was still trying to put myself together in this community, you were there when I was trying to find my pathetic soft son some friends, Light was there to make everything 10x more angsty and scary and freakish for my already pretty freaked child. You were there to talk to me about Death Note, about Lana Del Rey, about inappropriate senpai crushes, about memes, about random shit–you were a reassuring presence on my dash and in my stay in that old blog. Someone chill, someone cool, someone who was always just there. That was you–that funny, dependable, effortlessly awesome person on the dash with a rad sense of humour.

When I made my new blog years later–new muse, new me lmao–I just knew you were one of those people from the old dash that I needed to have on my new one. I’ll be honest, I kinda really felt a little (a lottle) “meh” and “nah, no thanks, no more” about that first try in the anime RP comm, which is why I stayed away for a long, long time--but you were one of the very few people there that made the whole thing bearable for me. I knew I had to reconnect somehow. 

It was a stroke of fucking luck that I found you again, and I’m just. skejrksejr I’m extremely happy that I reconnected, and when we spoke again, it was like no time had even passed. You’re still as awesome, still as cool. I was scared we’d stopped being friends because of how suddenly I’d upped and left, but none of that happened. We’re still just as tight, still just as hung up over Lana Del Rey, probably even more hung up about Death Note (bc of that stupid tHING that we refuse to talk about), and you’re still just as hilarious–your knack for funny one-liners and snappy, witty humour is just STAGGERING. And your writing has grown so much too!!! It doesn’t matter whether it’s Tino being broody and sketchy with Light, or Tino being bro-y and stupid with Zeev–as long as I know it’s you behind that muse, I’ll smack that follow button and do whatever the fuck to keep interacting with you.

You’re so, so, so great, Saiko, and I’m glad I got to keep you as a friend. Never ever ever change. You’re fantastic the way you are. <3

It was garbage. Why not make their own movie with different characters and the same premise…

i’d be 1000000% down for that honestly. imagine if they separated themselves from the anime and told a different story about some kid who gets the death note. it was probably an idea brought up but netflix exec’s were like “oooph but the faaans.” 

i still want L’s outfit though.
