“Honey, baby,” K.C. wrapped his arms around Kyle from behind “say something. Please.”
Turning Kyle rested his cheek on K.C’s chest “why you? Why do you have to go? Why not someone else?”
“I’m going to be alright,” K.C. asserted “I’ve gone on scouting missions before.”
“Never to Moonlight Falls,” Kyle cried, “we’ve always avoided going there before. Why now?”
Tilting Kyles chin upwards K.C. smiled down into his husband’s troubled blue eyes. “You know why.” He saw the stubborn set of Kyle’s shoulders and jaw and the worry in the eyes he loved so much.
