Noodling with a couple Legacy Reborn set scenes for Throne-breaker while I'm waiting on dinner, just to get it out of my system so I can focus on editing Tython, and

I am approaching the first doodle pass at Aja's future beskar upgrade in a very serious manner. Very important poses. Much gravity and weight to the situation.

oooo could you tell us more about "The Monster Under the Bed" 👀

It's the second half of Jedi Under Siege, where all the good fightin' stuff is, and it has one of my FAVORITE entrances I've ever written: when Ataraxia makes her first post-Zakuul appearance, after essentially disappearing off the face of the galaxy for 7 years. 😁

Tau bore her teeth in a taut grin. "Heh. Backup's here."

With a resounding boom! the rockfall that Malora had used to blockade the door shook free, and Aja felt a distinct sense of warning from Tau through the Force that told her clearly to duck. She dropped, arms over her head, as the rocks turned into shrapnel that pelted the room and took out the soldiers attempting to reinforce the Dark Councilor.

A green saberstaff lit up the cloud of dust as Tau's backup strode into the library, chin held high, the image of complete and utter placidity amidst the storm.

Aja's breath caught in her throat at the sight, and she found herself grinning ear-to-ear.

"I will only say this once," said the Barsen'thor calmly. Her bright blue eyes narrowed at Malora and the soldiers still standing. "This library is under my protection. Please depart from this place in peace. Now."

Please enjoy the start of a scene that made me add "Theron and Chrysali being disgustingly cute & domestic" to the planned chapter warnings 🤣

"And what do you think you're doing?"

Theron froze, caught red-handed as he glanced over his shoulder. "Uh... making breakfast?" he said innocently. He gave the pan a sideways glance. "Well, maybe mutilating's more accurate. But I think it's pretty good, considering I'm doing it with the non-dominant hand."

Chrysali raised an eyebrow, tugging the sash of her dressing gown tighter over her teal pajamas as she shooed him away. "You're not supposed to be doing that with either yet, go sit down," she fussed.

"Want me to set the table?"

"No, I want you to set yourself on that stool before you aggravate that lung and you pass out," Chrysali grumbled, brushing strands of her red hair back from where it had fallen out of the messy knot at the nape of her neck. Theron grinned and stole a quick kiss, and she swatted at him with a potholder and a laugh.

(For context, I extended Theron's recovery from the lightsaber to the lung on Nathema for most of Onslaught because him healing so fast bothers me, and also he and Chrysali have finally officially been capital-T Together for about a month and a half, so they're in full-on honeymoon phase at the same time. It's a bit of a weird time for them, but literally nothing about their relationship has ever gone the traditional route, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

I know I don't need evidence that I worked on Throne-breaker, but BEHOLD EVIDENCE THAT I HAVE MADE (TINY) PROGRESS ON THRONE-BREAKER and this is why I'm struggling with it the plot's a bit heavier than my headspace can handle right now 💔

"Doc!" Aja exclaimed. She rushed across the control center, all sense of decorum forgotten and Teeseven hot on her heels with a joyful whistle, and threw her arms around her old friend in a crushing hug. "It's you! You're here!"

Doc laughed and returned the hug with one arm, patting Teeseven's dome with his free hand. "Ah, it's so good to see you, hothead," he said happily. "You, too, ya bucket of bolts. Of course you two are still together, why am I not surprised?"

Teeseven whistled happily as he rocked on his struts. «T7 + Aja = looking for you + others for years // T7 = so happy to find you!»

Doc drew back from the hug, squeezing her shoulder as he studied her face critically. "Hmm. Y'know, I expected more scars, I'm pleasantly surprised."

The one over her ribs ached with a touch of guilt, and Aja laughed ruefully. "There might be a few new ones, just, uh... out of sight."

"Kriff. Well, it was nice while it lasted," he shrugged.
