So, I just realized something. Kaito never actually dyes Hakuba's hair! I can't remember an episode that he does this, correct me if I'm wrong. We all just collectively thought he would to the point that I thought it was a canon thing in the Magic Kaito series, but I've only ever truly noticed it in written works! I've been fooled! Bamboozled! Lied to by my own watering can memory!

KID & social-Kaito are bird-coded but Kaito himself is cat-coded. does that make sense

like. KID and social-Kaito are the kind of guys who’d get distracted by a shiny trinket. they’re constantly moving, strutting around proudly with their feathers (magic) on display, are loud asf, and have more energy than the guy who had three espressos back to back.

meanwhile, inner Kaito will hiss if you get too (emotionally) close. he’ll act like doing you a favor is the worst, but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t do it. he’ll melt in your lap and claw at you (for attention) and also claw others who are trying to take your attention.

I literally forgot about this piece because I was completely unsatisfied with it until I fixed what's bugging me (I really sucked at making backgrounds 🥲) I genuinely feel bad for not posting it because I was really proud how they drew them 😭

anyways I'm not all too familiar with joker and persona but I feel like joker would be an interesting rival to kid, it's just from his design's black and red alone contrasting kid's blue and white colors, reminds me of sonic and shadow so I drew them in that pose lol

This is for the 3 people who know who Mr Unknown is, one of those being my girlfriend.

Now bare with me, because I was thinking about how Kaito KID, Both the current and the past version would be viewed by the Heroes and Villains. I will delve into Kaito's era another time BUT NOW ITS TOICHI TIME.

HERE I PROPOSE THAT TOICHI IS THE ROGUE OF MR UNKNOWN, THE BATMAN OF JAPAN.

For those who don't know, Mr Unknown is a legendary crime fighter in Japan. Who is immediately killed in the Batman Incorporated Series. He was like Batman and masked Detective who kept operating even when he couldn't fight any more, and had college student Jiro Osamu stand in for the fighting.

In this Au/In the world of Detective Conan I like to think he was this legendary figure in the Detective Community. And definitely Shinichi's favourite Super-hero. Because lets be real, he's only going to pick the Detective shaped heroes. His Death takes place right before the Kaito becomes KID and Shinich becomes Conan.

Now, Toichi I always imagined while not a violent man he didn't give back the things he stole. Unlike Kaito. So Crime fighters like Mr Unknown had to step in to stop him with varied success. While Toichi was never caught sometimes his schemes was thwarted. I like the idea that even though they were mostly enemies they respected each other and that Toichi would assist against some villains much worse then he is. He would be like a fusion of Cat Woman and the Riddler minus any death traps.

But he was still a pain in the ass to deal with. Toichi definitely burned some bridges with villains who killed and left bullshit puzzles the hero. NOTE: If you do want to read his comic there is some weird racist elements in it. And a very gruesome death scene. I'm honestly doing this to give this character to shine in this Au, since Mr Unknown would of been such a perfect fit in DCMK.
