How do I tell my classmates I only show up to uni to gain experience for a college AU fanfic?
Believe me when I tell you I was am so excited for this fic. Over the summer, I planned out and storyboarded each chapter, and even started on the SMAU snippets! But... college started, and things got real busy real quick.
I knew this would happen tbh. Growing up, reading @sugiwa's fics (yes, my protagonist is partially based on Izumi and Ume) was my go-to coping mechanism. Her writing was so comforting, engaging, and icl much better than most renowned authors I've read. And when I was in high school, I found out that she was GETTING A WHOLE ASS LAW DEGREE WHILE WRITING THESE MASTERPIECES??? To say I was in awe would be a major understatement. She's RIDICULOUSLY cool.
So I thought... if Sugiwa can write multiple 500k word fanfics while pursuing LAW, I could handle college and writing a small SMAU for fun on the side... right?
...right?
Turns out, it wasn't as easy as I expected--balancing academics, extracurriculars and hobbies is much harder than I thought it'd be.
With that being said, I'll update when I can. Like I said, I already have everything planned out and even got started on a couple of chapters. I'm holding off on it though, because I only want to put out work that I'm proud of. Not half-baked writing.
So yeah, stay tuned! There's more on the way :)
