In 1624, Duncan MacLeod (not yet aware that he was an Immortal) hunted down Kanwulf, who was responsible for the destruction of MacLeod’s former village and murder of his adopted father. MacLeod thought he killed Kanwulf, not knowing that Kanwulf was also an Immortal and, like all Immortals, could only be killed be having his head cut off. ("Homeland", Highlander, TV, Event)
