Gavv - Shouma's Headache: A Red Herring
As recently as episode 12, when Shouma was shown a picture of Hanto's mother, he immediately experienced a headache, leading to several hypotheses that could cast him in a negative light. One possibility is that he was the monster who took Hanto's mother but has no memory of it.
Considering how his existence came to be, it wouldn’t be illogical to think along those lines.
However, I’d like to propose a few theories of my own. What if the monster was actually Dente? Having lived in the human world for so long, it’s possible he faced some adjustment issues that surfaced. Shouma may have witnessed one such incident, and due to the traumatic nature of the event, his mind chose to repress the memory.
The headache is simply his mind’s way of warning him against accessing that memory.
A reasonable follow-up question would be, "How could he have witnessed it without leaving the Granute world?" My response is that there are several possibilities. For instance, his father’s "minions" might have recorded the incident, enabling him to view it through transparent windows. Alternatively, a meeting might have taken place near where he was being kept, during which he could have seen the projected video through his window or by some other means.
Another possibility I’d propose is that, in an effort to keep him alive, Shouma was fused with the monster that took Hanto's mom. This could explain the headache—he may have unintentionally accessed the monster's memories when he saw Hanto's mom. This would make Shouma connected to her, but not in a way that makes him the killer.
The bottom line is that we don't know much about Shouma, aside from what we've seen in flashbacks and what he's chosen to share with the people in his life now.
What if… What if, Hanto’s mom had actually found Shouma and his mom and successfully escaped the Granute world?
What do you think would happen?
I just know that Michiru would spoil Shouma rotten with sweets and junkfood, maybe Sae would be the bad cop parent alongside Masaru?
What do you think?
this is of course assuming that Masaru and his parents wouldn't shun Shouma out
Well, I think Sae's priority would be getting back to her son, don't you think? I don't think I want Hanto and Shouma to be raised as siblings given that I ship them lol
I definitely think Masaru would accept Shouma, especially if he sees how much Michiru loves him. I think Masaru would be a bit more strict with Shouma and encourage him to have a more varied diet, but he would also occasionally spoil his nephew with expensive snacks
As for Sae, she and Michiru would remain close, and eventually introduce Hanto to Shouma. Hanto, thus, grows up aware of the existence of Granutes, but because his experience of them revolves around Shouma, he wouldn't be predisposed to hating them. He'd hate the Stomachs for how they treated his mother and the Inoues, but he knows not all of them are bad. He also probably wouldn't end up becoming a delinquent due to Shouma's influence, though I do hope in such a circumstance he'd still meet his mentor Shioya.
Also, ChocoGummy childhood friends to lovers for sure. I can imagine it either being a slow burn so slow that everyone is tearing their hair out waiting for them to get their shit together... or basically being together since they were old enough to know what romantic love is and just waiting to be old enough to elope and marry somewhere gay marriage is legal lol

That was precisely my first thought when I saw the previews too... Shouma's going to blame himself for Hanto losing his mom despite the fact he was a fucking child and wouldn't have been able to help her anyway...
In the scenario that both Michiru and Sae lived… and have escaped the clutches of the Stomach Inc…
How would they react to Dente? Michiru and Sae, I mean? When do you think they’d meet Dente?
I think Michiru would've been really pissed at him. After all he was the one who operated on Shouma all those years ago, the one who gave him the Gavv that made him the subject of (even more) ridicule and rejection by his half-siblings.
Of course, Dente had no idea that would happen and he may not have been aware of Bouchebag's true intentions for the modifications. He seemed to genuinely care about Shouma's well being, even then.
I think Michiru would be understandably angry at him for a long time, and I don't think Dente would begrudge her feelings, even if Shouma would was willing to intercede on his behalf.
Sae on the other hand... Well, I suppose Hanto had to get his temper from someone. I think Sae would understandably associate him with the people that had kidnapped her once she realizes his connection to the Stomach family.
But, again similarly to Hanto, once she thought it through she'd realize she was too hasty in her judgement and try to be more understanding of him. It wouldn't be an immediate thing, but I think she can come to terms with Dente's past.
