Frown lines marred the goddess’ visage as she cupped her hands around Kat’s cheeks, brushing her thumb over the delicate curve of one cheekbone.  “I do wish that I could lie to you and say that it gets easier, but it doesn’t.  Not for people like us.” Eris murmured and tiptoed enough that she could plant a gentle kiss on the young keres’ forehead.

“….Want me to terrorize them for you?”

“I think that might make things worse,” she huffed, appreciating the offer but knowing it wouldn’t make her feel better. Some of her sisters had made similar offers over the years and she had always turned them down as well. 

“Why do people suck?”

She was more than a little nervous, to say the least, more so than she thought she would be. This was her moms though, the nerves were unnecessary, yet she couldn’t seem to shake them.

“Moms? Can we...can we talk?”
