Number 2!

Finished my second blanket! Thinking positive! There were some down times but I didn't let them bother me, when I got back to making it, things went much better instead of trying to rush it again. Now I've been working on my third! Reminds me of curious George, maybe i'll name each blanket as a theme thing. The only problems, were running out of yarn! I had to take time off to cool down from being upset about it. However I had my other yarn I already had from projects I've done before. So I unraveled the blanket I was working on, made a new pattern, shoot then I had yarn left over. Sometimes you just have to stand back and calm down and just think of a new way. It works out when you don't give up, well I'll be damned haha. Now just 8 more to go before I start posting them to sale, and of course I'll keep on going :)

Finally!

Finished a for sure blanket that I am happy with! It's now set aside to wait for more to pile on top of it before I start selling them. One step closer right?! It was slow but I got it done, nothing shoots off fast at first with trying to make a profit I guess. Though I have come to be a little discouraged...another girl I know from in town on fb has taught herself just months ago to knit or crochet (can't remember) and has begun to sell her hats and headbands already. I feel like a failure, all I am doing is blankets! I hope this is worth it.

Maybe not today then...

Just one thing of yarn today...this maybe the downfall of not being able to just go to town 45min away to get my stock of yarn. Yet at the same time I found even better deals on "sugar n' cream" yarn(rather then "red heart"), either bulk on www.ebay.com, or cheap for each on www.amazon.com. They also have such beautiful colors, especially for baby blankets. Hmmmm, very interested =)

Waiting anxiously ...

I’m super excited for today! My yarn should be arriving today, hopefully most of it. I’m hoping to get to work right away! That’s the thing, trying to start a little blanket business with a 2 month old. It’s going to be tough but even more so I want this extra cash. Money is tight, husband has said if you want to get out of the house go for it. However I’ve asked to do the things he says I should do but then he says not yet. All I can think about now is my goal of helping us out and using my own money when it comes to myself and splurging or a girls night out. Every women needs a break, all I want is to look pretty at a restaurant for 3 hours out and go back home to my family haha. Or just go out with my girls, but it’s still hard at this time with a infant and a 3 year old. I’ll get there, we will go to museums and plays and Kool places once I can provide for the fun things and take some weight off my husbands shoulders. Another goal, to take him to a nice dinner, and buy him a gift! All though buying a gift for this man is difficult…ok new clothes, this man can some how put holes in socks, pants, shirts, and jackets like no other in 2 days. I could also help him with his mobile shop trailer he’s been wanting so bad to get set up so he can go work in the desert on busy off-roading days. I just want to help and live a little you know? We have nice things that I am so grateful for, I sit in this house and stare at it all everyday. Though it’s time to live outside this box to now, like I said, I need that connection with life. Like a breath of fresh morning crisp air when you walk outside with sunshine wrapping around you. Feels great for those few seconds of pretending you’re on top of the world. That’s where I will be when I check my mail today people. Let’s do this!!!
