Mr. Wrong — Mary J. Blige Talks Pending Divorce With Angie Martinez
Mary J. Blige thought she found Mr. Right with Martin “Kendu” Isaacs — but in fact, he was Mr. Wrong.
The songstress stopped by New York’s Power 105.1 on Thursday (March 30), where she divulged details about her pending divorce.
Blige, 45, revealed, “overwhelming disrespect” was the breaking point in her marriage to Isaacs.
“Just disrespect, you’re too familiar,” Blige told Angie Martinez. “I can sense that I’m not what you want anymore because now you start throwing questions around like, ‘OK, why don’t you cook?’ . . . ‘Why don’t you wear your hair like this?’ I never wore my hair like this before, what’s up with you?”
Blige and Isaacs — who also moonlighted as her manager — were married for 12 years before she filed for divorce last year. Read more.
