Gerrard played under Dalglish (Picture: Getty Images)Steven Gerrard sent well wishes to fellow Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish after it was confirmed the former Reds player and manager has tested positive for coronavirus. Dalglish, who guided Blackburn Rovers to the Premier League title as a manager, is in hospital but is showing no symptoms, his family confirmed in a statment. Gerrard played under Dalglish – who also represented Scotland and Celtic in his playing days – during his second spell as Liverpool manager and he sent a message to his former boss. A statement from his family read: ‘Sir Kenny was admitted to hospital on Wednesday April 8 for treatment of an infection which required intravenous antibiotics. ‘In keeping with current procedures, he was subsequently tested for COVID-19 despite having previously displayed no symptoms of the illness. Unexpectedly, the test result was positive but he remains asymptomatic.
