Cyst Removal Surgery with Jaw Reconstruction This lady developed a swelling on the left side of her mandible. Alarmed at this, she presented to our hospital for management. Imaging studies revealed a radiolucent lesion in this area and biopsies returned with the diagnosis of odontogenic keratocyst. The cyst was completely enucleated with extraction of teeth overlying the lesion. The resultant bony defect was reconstructed with rib grafts harvested from the patient. Dental implants will be placed following complete consolidation of the grafts with surrounding alveolar bone.
