Since I only know the cast recording, I have several questions about The Mad Ones. The ones that come into my mind frequently are
In Simple As That, when Sam says "I'm the Bonnie to his... (Adam: "Who?") Clyde." How is it possible to not know one of the most famous couples in history? Is there context here, or is it just Adam's personality or lack of knowledge? Also, it's in striking contrast with the general getting along/understanding each other vibe of the song.
In Yellow SUV, Sam says nothing moved her after Kelly's death "except one thing, it was yesterday". To anyone who's seen it live, does she refer to Adam's words in Run Away With Me, or is there something between the two songs?
How does the story end? Does Sam drive away? It isn't quite clear to me at the end of Remember This.
I'm assuming that the whole story (like ninety percent of it) unfolds in Sam's memories, so most of the songs depicts the past, and the present is just Sam sitting in her (Kelly's) car, pondering what to do. Am I correct about it?
Also, anyone who wants to share fun facts or moments from the stage version that aren't on the cast recording are welcomed here! I'm so obsessed with this musical right now, and I'd really appreciate it.
