Kev has mentioned sex so many times to Robert it feels like it must be leading somewhere but I just can't think where. Do you have any theories?
It's making me uncomfortable to have to hear about it all the time, so I hope it's dealt with soon.
It’s very uncomfortable. I rewatched Kev’s first scenes to see if I picked anything up now it’s confirmed he has been lying the entire time.
I noticed he doesn’t mention he is dying until Robert turns him down for sex. He then tries to manipulate Robert into sex by saying he needs Robert to distract him, he goes for another kiss but Victoria comes home just in time and he makes excuses and leaves.
So on that first episode he was already using manipulation as a way to get sex. That’s a major major red flag.
During the first prison visit he continues using the dying sham for sympathy and when he mentions the day release and says explicitly he wants to spend it all day in bed with Robert he is visibly shook when Robert rebuffs him and offers to take him to Whitby. At the time when we thought he was dying I took his emotional response to be him being touched and him genuinely wanting to have one last trip to to the seaside (lmao) but we know that was bullshit he was upset because yet again Robert turned down the chance for sex.
His first week home, Robert rebuffs him for sex multiple times claiming he had to be at the farm (he was really in bed with Aaron) it’s has been consistent thread. We have had several comments from him that suggests he sees being able to get it up and have sex with Robert as a sign of his masculinity (another 🚩)
Then we learn he has come off his meds to be able to get an erection and now he has promised Robert he won’t do that again. Robert thinks that has taken care of things and he doesn’t have to worry about sex (because Kev’s version of sex doesn’t seem to include anything that involves him pleasuring Robert)
But then we see Kev at the GPs getting a prescription from Liam and Liam makes a joke about “firing away” and then gets flustered because he has apparently made some unintentional pun. Am I alone in assuming Kev was getting a prescription for Viagra? Because that seemed fairly obvious to me but no one else has mentioned it so maybe him wildly wrong.
