some notes on kibbe
i initially came to kibbe when i was at a complete loss as to why nothing i wore flattered me. in it, i found a *lot* of information on body structure, width, and curve accommodation. i found out (with about 80% confidence via self- and peer-assessment) what kibbe type i am. through this, i was able to figure out what sorts of things should look good on my body.
unfortunately, the themes of my type, SD (soft dramatic), are far too 'exotic' and 'fabulous' for my tastes. i just can't get down with about 70% of the look. so i'm going to find a way to follow the silhouettes (for me, T-shape emphasis, some drapery) but forego the glitz and glam to meet my preferences for a more minimalist, classic look.
i feel i've spent a great deal of time wishing i was a different type of kibbe, but that's not something you can change, as it's based off of your body structure and how your flesh falls on your frame. to avoid too much lamenting, i'm going to revert to intuition and preference while keeping kibbe in the back of my mind for structure references, and otherwise take a step back to really enjoy fashion and aesthetics.
