"Tessaiga Breaks" Inuyasha: Season 1, Episode 43 (2001)
My “they’ll never make me form a solid opinion about you” is Kikyo
I know I keep harping on this, but like we don’t fully know what Kikyo was like outside of being a dedicated priestess and a loved older sister because we only get parts of her as seen from outsiders
What we mostly get is this husk of herself that’s stuck in that moment of Kikyo’s death where she believes she’s been betrayed and killed by the boy she loves
And it’s just like, you were a teenager in love, you were a teenager with an impossible job, an impossible job only you could do and everyone was relying on you for, you’re made of mud and half a soul that isn’t yours anymore, a witch’s curse brought you back, you’re cursed, you’re not supposed to be here anymore, you need to leave, you never asked to come back, your existence is causing problems, you’re still doing priestly jobs, you’re stealing souls, you’re not sure you consented to your soul being reincarnated, you’re cold and angry, this isn’t you, maybe it is you, you were a teenager
Farewell, Bellflower

Blood.
So thick, it was nearly black. Filling her nose with a foul, metallic odor. Beading down her pale arm like gruesome melted candle wax.
Her blood.
What happened?
Senior Maiko Momotaro 1919
Senior Maiko Momotarō wearing her hair in the Yakko Shimada hairstyle. Her kimono has a Kikyō (Chinese Bellflower) motif, indicative of mid-Autumn (September).
