Leif's Letter to Andreas reveals that she left to start a new life, and that she's an Ancestor to the Plantars.
Those who want a summary of the true colors section should look at this photo. everything is very clear.
Still mildly concerned how Andreas was just trying to genuinely enjoy his new human friend then the core See's Marcy for two seconds and is like " Y o u K n o w W h a t I h a t e T h e m K i l l T h e m N O W." Then Andreas just "she's literally a minor????"
haha :)

“Give him back!”
so i just want to talk about amphibia for a bit, bear with me.
the first part of amphibia focuses on found family. anne is finally sustaining healthy relationships, and is finally with happy who she is as a person.
later on, we start to find out about her previous relationship with sasha, but we're not fully sure how to perceive her quite yet.
anne has been so focused on finding her friends that she has forgotten how she felt around them.
after meeting sasha in amphibia and seeing just how manipulative she is, everything starts to unfold about the shoplifting of the music box and how anne was peer pressured. we discover that anne WAS different back home and that she was easily pushed around by her friends and wasn't sure how to stick up for herself. so we realise that she's come a long way so far.
after toad tower, it came into light that Sasha DOES care about her friends but she isn't the best at showing it and has deeply rooted fears if being vulnerable and being in a situation she cannot control. no longer having annes personality or marcy as her constant is scary.
after meeting marcy it's shown that anne and marcy have maintained a healthy relationship, regardless of sashas influence. but both of them are struggling to fill the sasha-shaped hole in their friendship.
fastforwarding a bit, sasha returning and then immediately manipulating them and lying was definitely getting off on the wrong foot. her motivation was not good nor was her means. this is not to say she didn't feel bad, because she does feel remorse later on but she obviously was not doing the right thing. but nor was marcy in the end.
after heading to newtopia and revealing her true intentions, anne is not totally surprised because she knows sasha but she feels offended and betrayed. marcy is panicked because her plans are being compromised. anne and marcys determination to end sashas reign were fueled by completely different things.
anne was fueled bye her history with sasha and spite.
marcy was fueled by panic and desperation.
after finding out about andreas, sasha is desperately trying to get anne to understand, but annes trust in her has long since expired.
marcy is relieved that things have worked out but is still trying to keep the peace between the two others, even with sasha in chains.
after everyone sees andreas' true colors they react differently.
anne is angry, even more so because of pent up emotions from her previous fight with sasha.
sasha is unsuprised and slightly frustrated because she knew and anne didn't trust her.
marcy is betrayed and emotionally vulnerable. she is panicked and she knows that because of her mistake, her friends and their friends are all in danger now.
what hurts the most is that anne has always trusted marcy. even when she didn't understand that sasha was not the best, she and marcy stuck together. they were the losers. but after seeing that marcy lied to her for so long and kept secrets, in the moment anne thinks marcys just as bad as sasha.
when andreas drops sprig, marcy is trying to make up for her mistakes by saving him. not just her most recent ones, but the ones from before amphibia.
sasha is completely willing to sacrifice herself. she has finally seen how she's hurt her friends and all she wants to do now is protect them.
anne is fighting for her friends but also amphibia. she wants to save the people she cares about but she doesn't know how.
when marcy opens the portal in a rush, anne trusts her and runs over.
but like i said, marcy was already emotionally vulnerable. putting her back to andreas and the fight made her physically vulnerable. the combination of both got her stabbed.
anne gets zapped away watching one of her friends get a sword run through the chest and the other trying her hardest but with no means of escape.
"This is what you get for pouring your heart to me over Flipwart"
That line stayed on my mind for a while...
