6) Who are your favorite characters?

Lazy, Vanity, and Handy are my top three smurfs, and Gerard, Scruple, and Bigmouth for other species.

Lazy is the cutest thing ever. His voice in the 80s cartoon is adorable, and he tries so hard to stay awake when it's important. The poor dear just has such low energy, and he can't help it. I relate to him a lot.

Vanity is also a cutie. I love guys who aren't afraid to show a feminine and sensitive side. He may be conceited, but he has a big heart and cares deeply for his friends, not only himself.

Handy has a really sweet voice too. (He and Lazy share the same actor so that makes sense. 😁) The visor and overalls are such a cute look too. It's fun to see him invent things that we use in modern day as well.

Yes I've said cute a lot, but these three are just cuteness overload to me!

Gerard is one of the nicest humans, and that's even more special considering he's a king. They're often cruel and power hungry, but he sincerely cares for his people, and treats everyone with the same respect. Even though he suffered those horrible years locked in a dungeon, it didn't change his kind nature at all.

Scruple is a brat, sure, but I don't think he's actually evil. We don't know his past, but I'm assuming his parents either died or were neglectful. Now he's stuck with Gargamel, which would make anyone go crazy. I feel bad that he's trapped in that environment without a decent guardian. I think he could be redeemed if someone truly cared for him.

And finally, Bigmouth. He's just hilarious and never fails to make me laugh. I too understand being angry when you're hungry and there's no food. 😆 Any time he's upset with Gargamel is particularly funny.

Some honorable mentions would be Greedy, Dreamy, Tracker, Scaredy, and Harmony.

Considering how King Gerard is just as tall as Johan is in The Return of Clockwork Smurf, I think it's safe to say the first Clockwork Smurf episode takes place several years prior and may potentially coincide with The Punishment of Basenhau, when Johan was around 13-14.

It'd be kinda odd for him to be that tall at age 12, he'd be a giant by his later teen years if that was the case, which I don't think is likely for him. I can't really see him being THAT tall. Especially not if he made any appearances in comics.

It's probably not unlikely for a 12 year old somewhere to be almost adult height though it wouldn't be that common I imagine.
