y/n tries so hard to not fall for king of hell ethan but it’s like every time he’s around she feels safer and shit 🥺🥺 ( also idk why i like this concept it’s so fucked up + i’m in grayson’s lane 😶 )
No matter how much she would deny it, her eyes seemed to drift a little more to Ethan everyday. She began to notice small things, he only really seemed happy when she was around. The small wrinkles that cupped his eyes when his cheeks extended, perfect teeth making him look handsome as ever.
He was more comfortable with her, making small little jokes and the fact that she stopped fighting him, yelling at him, it was easier to make conversation. Despite the fact she was held here against her will, claimed to be his long lost queen. Not all his edges were rough, he was just lonely, looking for someone to share goals and aspirations with.
"I told them waffles is that okay?" She nods, eyes greedily running over the uncharted man in front of her. A suit tailored perfectly, fabric almost streaching over the rounds of his triceps, a deep brown color making his tanned skin look almost irresistible. His paid a little more attention to his hair, usually messily brushed but a little more groomed this time, neatly thrown up.
"What's wrong my love?" Ethan was genuinely concerned, the last thing he expected was her to be checking him out. It was still rocky, he was pretty sure she still hated him.
"I'm just a little thirsty E." Ethan felt his throat tighen at the nickname. His eyes darkening at the servent standing feet away from them, "why haven't you poured her drink yet?"
"Sorry my lady, orange juice the usual?" Y/N eyes darken at Ethan now but she nods. "Thank you babe."
Ethan felt his chest pang a little in jealously, wishing those words were for him.
"Are you going somewhere today?" It was nice, for once Ethan wasn't started the conversation, to be fair he was a little distracted, a stack of files in front of him, and the fact that his eyes barely left the page.
"I am. I have a few meetings. I'll only be a couple hours." He pauses, "Bradley is going to stay with you while I'm gone."
"Wait." The piece of fruit on the tip of her fork is dropped on her plate, "you're leaving leaving?"
"Yes..?" It was more like a question. Not seeing where she was coming from.
"Don't leave me here alone." She never felt so small admiting this in front of him, the truth of the matter is being here without Ethan scared her. In some twisted way she felt safe around him?
No matter what he'd always protect her, care for her like he's been doing for the last month. Ethan felt his throat dry, chest grow warm with happiness? Every since she's arrived this place has turned into more, a home, it grew with warmth with every little one of her breath taking smiles, every small book she touched, fingers skimming against the marble walls left a litte more warmness with it. But nothing compared to the feeling in his heart.
"You want me here?"
Her cheeks heat up instantly, avoiding eye contact. Ethan was up in seconds, rough fingers so gentle as they slid under the skin of her chin, eyes connecting with hers.
"Yes." It was so soft, but the warmness spread throughout his entire body now. As his eyes roam her face he wanted nothing more to do then kiss those lips, a smooth pink that his lips tingled for but he didn't want to ruin this, she wasnt ready for it yet and this was progress.
"Considered them cancelled." Ethan smiles sweetly at her, rings of his fingers gently rubbing against her jaw. "You look beautiful this morning."
She rolls her eyes, despite the little redness that flushed her face. "You say that every morning."
"Well stop being so beautiful every morning?" Staff began to shuffle in the room, with piles of waffles, toppings and syrups.
Ethan watched as she took the first bite of her waffle, but he wasn't hungry. Not in a bad way, he just felt so full already. She felt safe here, with him.
