I've mentioned some of Kubo's word choice in Rose's name schemes before but I never actually addressed a weird thing about his bankai...

His is the only one with attacks that aren't Japanese?? Even Sui-Feng's shikai and bankai are Japanese, despite her Chinese name and obvious strong Chinese theming. Even Choujiro who's only defining trait we ever got was being really into western culture, didn't have any sort of references to it in his shikai or bankai --reflections of his inner soul. So what was up with Rose??

Real answer, honestly, I think is that Kubo was just doing whatever the heck he wanted at the time and just didn't think about it having any weird implications. Simple as that. He was already at a point where he was starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel for ideas, so it seems to make the most sense.

But otherwise Butou is technically considered a "western" style of dance, although that's more in the broader sense of modern dance in the 60s as an artistic principle was rooted in Western post modernism, rather than the actual forms of Butou as dance having any sort of directly Western influences or origins; the actual practice of Butou is uniquely Japanese.

Although Kubo also chose entirely classical music to reference in these attacks, which doesn't really gel with Butou as a theme.

Viz did nail all these translations for once, but I'd have been more shocked if they'd screwed any of them up considering they just needed to sound it out.

シー・ドリフト: Shi~ Do-ri-fu-to: "Sea Drift"

in English and named after the Frederick Delius composition, based on Walt Whitman's poem of the same name. It's written with the kanji [海流] referring to an "Ocean Current" but literally the individual kanji for "Sea" and "Drifting."

プロメテウス: Pu-ro-me-te-u-su: "Prometheus"

in, technically, Greek because of the obvious origins of the mythological character, but referring to piece by Hungargian composer Franz Lizst. Written as [火山の使者]: "Emissary of (the) Volcano/FireMountain" which... I guess is kind of a literal description of Prometheus' role in his myth as fire bringer? Kinda? Feels a little clunky.

アイン・ヘルデンレーベン: A-i-n' He-ru-de-n'-re~be-n': "Ein Heldenleben"

in German, and a direct reference to Richard Strauss' piece of the same name. Written as [英雄の生涯]: "Hero's Lifetime" which is a pretty direct translation of the title, "A Hero's Life."

It's kind of a shame we didn't see much of Rose for a number of reasons, but I feel like we could've seen a lot between him and Shinji. Him and Hisagi. Him and Choujiro even. He sort of implicitly knows some German if he has any understanding of the lyrics to a lot of the classical and operatic pieces that seem to make up his repertoire, so it also would've been neat to see him bring that up with any of the Quincy... But no... Just a star shaped hole in his chest and double zombie. Poor Rose...
