Happy New Year 2021! Good-bye 2020 and Kipo. I wanted to finish this piece I sketched over the summer before 2020 ended.

I started and finished all the seasons of “Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts” this year. I was sleeping on this show, why haven’t I watched it sooner?? It was sssooooo GOOD! The music, the art, the plot, the various characters, the emotions, and excellent use of African American representation was all amazing!

It was a rough ride full of 3 seasons of drama. Some characters found love, some died, there were serious scenes, and funny scenes. I miss cartoons like this. They made the right move putting this on Netflix. Cable TV wouldn’t have appreciated it.
