How To Use A Potato To Clean A Cheese Grater With Ease
By Bethany Braun, writer at LittleThings.com
Half the battle of cooking a delicious meal is cleaning it up afterwards. Some things are notoriously hard to clean, like stuck-on grease in a pan or a cheese grater. Seriously, have you ever tried to clean a cheese grater? The cheese gets stuck in the holes and you risk cutting your fingers trying to clean it. But that is no longer a problem with this amazing cheese grater cleaning hack.
If you have a potato, you can easily clean your sticky cheese grater. That’s all it takes.
Our DIY expert Jill Urban shows us in the video below that once you are done grating cheese, all you have to do to clean your tool is simply grate a potato. The acid and the hardness of the potato push the cheese out of the grater and make it so easy to wipe clean.
You’ll have to try it for yourself to believe it, but I promise it works.
It really is amazing what you can do with a potato besides mash it or make French fries. You can actually use a potato to change a broken lightbulb or use it in place of cooking spray on your barbecue.
