      there was a reason she hadn’t entered the establishment, despite it being predominantly made for people like her—young, single, & in the search for some love & attention. a showstopper. she was the type of girl that made passer-bys halt in their steps, just to get a glance of her. however, everything from her expression, to her posture, said ‘ don’t approach me ‘ ; arms crossed over her chest as she stared long & hard at the sign of stardust above the door. her cheeks puffed, clearly not as excited as some of the patrons were the moment that their doors were opened.

     attention is grabbed by a voice that comes from underneath the sign. typical for hosts to wander the streets in an attempt to lure more customers in. she was no stranger to this practice, despite being far from being one of their clientele. if she hadn’t approached the entrance, it was for a reason. mako could only see from afar, & laugh over the new kid’s attempt at getting the unattainable one. somebody should’ve warned him about her, but it was news to him that she was back to japan.

     her nose scrunched upon meeting his gaze ; examining him from head to toes. “isn’t that obvious?” there was no one around her, or near-by. of course, she was alone. “what is it to you anyway?”

Tanaka’s scheming unnerves the empathetic Director. As a fellow board member of Arasaka Academy, she at least has a say — though no one seems to care much about a young man’s quality of life compared to the potential for corp research. A free ride should be any disadvantaged student’s dream, after all. Reaching out to the student with kind words felt appropriate even if limiting. Arasaka gets what it wants.

Lucy sat in silence for a moment, marinating in his question. She was use to her solitude but his company did sound nice. She shifts her gaze from out the window towards David. ❝Sure.❞ She answers calmly as she stands, walking by David over to her kitchen. She swings open the fridge door and sighs softly to herself as she bends over examining how many beers she has left.  Lucy places a hand on her hip as she stands back up right. ❝Hey, want to walk with me to get some more beer? . . . And I guess you can pick something out too.❞ She chimes, flashing David a playful smile.

Just as the sun begins to set does the frustrating lack of action and excitement for the day come to a head. There’s never been a dull moment for Majima here in Kamurocho - even when he’s holed himself inside the family office before, he’s found a way to pass the time, entertain himself by sticking his nose into the business of others. But, even a hound that’s always on the prowl, looking for trouble, must take a break every so often; prove that he’s not all play and no work. He has a reputation to uphold.

The itch for adventure is nonetheless too strong for him to resist even just a little scratch. Like clockwork, he decides enough is enough, and it’s not long after that he’s making his way back out into the concrete jungle with the excuse of stretching his legs. Staring at piles and piles of paperwork while stuck in the same damn spot for hours isn’t doing his body much good, anyways. One of his boys can take care of the rest.

Just as he’s outside the door, already reaching for a cigarette to enjoy while he’s on his way to no particular destination, Majima has to count his blessings now for not stumbling and falling over the sad fool who’s lying there at the headquarters' doorstep. Despite his initial surprise, he scoffs at the sight. Some kid he’s never seen before - covered in scrapes and bruises, with seemingly nowhere to hide but here. All he can assume is that he’s just another lost pup who went and ran into the wrong people.    

“The hell d`ya think yer doin`, kid?” His voice is stern, his brow furrowed in a perfect expression of pure annoyance. Part of him is glad to find that the action and excitement he was about to go looking for has come to him so easily... The other part of him is hesitant to get involved with the affairs of another good for nothing punk. 

Sure beats having to twiddle his thumbs all day, whatever the case.

“Pick yer sorry ass off the ground already,” Majima nudges his foot against the boy in an attempt to rouse him, further encouraging him to stand up and gather his bearings.

 “C`mon!! I don`t got all day, y`know! Upsy daisy!”

@kitschd SAID: Rebecca was always sneaking up on him, so naturally it was time for some payback. While she was looking for him, expecting him to show up to the fuel station where his crew normally hung out at, he used his sandy to sneak up behind her, gently putting her in in a bear hug, using just enough of his strength to firmly hold her in place but not crush her with his newly acquired chrome and muscle. “How’s my little rimbo doing?” he teases.

Rather than being her usual aggravatingly sneaky self, for once, Becca was minding her own business. Sipping on a Spunky Monkey can that was half-filled with straight vodka, she was just sitting around on the hood of a car listening to Maine shoot the shit with some choom or business associate of his. Not exactly something she wanted to tune into and understand, so she sat off to the side and enjoyed the unusually good weather for a change. At least, until David up and grabbed her before she had a chance to realize what was happening.

At first she squirmed like a furious little cat in his grip, more pissed that she dropped her drink than anything else. Even the idea that she might be getting kidnapped again... It took her a solid few seconds of ferocious struggling and snarling before she recognized David’s voice and promptly stopped, going completely limp in his grasp. She craned her neck all the way back to look at him, beaming ear to ear at the sight of his face. “Oh- David, m’man! What’s up, choom? Why the sneak attack? You made me drop by upper driiiiink!” She whined, playfully kicking her legs back and forth.

    with how frequent he used the studio, sunny had become familiarized by those that visited before & after he did. sometimes, when he arrived a little too early, he’d sit down & watch others practice—witnessing all kinds of different styles & for different reasons. some, like himself, practised out of sheer passion & this desire to improve, while others, did so more as a means to practice for some contest or the like. it was easy to tell apart who was obligated to be there, & who wanted to be there. it was all in the energy that they gave.

    nevertheless, this didn’t keep the blond from making acquaintances with a few of them. faces that he would only see for a period of time, as well as those that had become a staple in his every day life. he knew of their faces, & sometimes their names & occupations, but wasn’t particular close to any of them. usually, when people came to practice, they didn’t want to be bothered by others. himself included.

    this, however, didn’t keep him from occasionally indulging in some conversation once he was done with his practice. towel hanging over his shoulder while he chugged down his bottle of water ; not realizing just how thirsty he was until then. allowing a pleased sigh to escape his lips before putting the cap back on his bottle. the corner of his eye, barely catching a glimpse of someone he had seen plenty of times before, that he actually had a name to attach to that face.

      rather than being greeted with a smile, though, the moment that the blond lay eyes on the other, he grimaced. his attention, immediately, being drawn by the shoulder brace that he was sporting.

     “geez, what happened to you?” sunny inquired, looking confused over the fact that david would be showing up to practice in this state, regardless of what the reason was for his injury. his bottle was placed down before approaching the other, wanting to take a better look at it. his nose scrunched. “what are you even doing here?? you’re going to make it worse if you try to practice.”

He paused for a moment, realizing how incredibly awkward that question was.  “Not that I’m interested…”. He really wasn’t but he needed to make sure that he wouldn’t be under charging himself.

        upon hearing his name, the host does what anyone would & turned towards the source of that voice. disinterested. borderline annoyed. he always had this look about him that gave the impression that he was looking down on others—which was usually the case.  too good to bother with the likes of those that didn’t meet his standards. mako may not be popular among the other hosts, but he was a hit with the ladies, making his rates be a cause of envy by those who tried to become the next favourite of a new patron. it always brought a sense of pride to be chosen over the rest ; to be validated in such a way that fed his ego & added to his delusion. he didn’t consider himself someone that just anyone could compare themselves with—reason he appeared so offended upon hearing this kid’s question.

      who the fuck was he again? mako could only seem to recall sunny being responsible for this. his disdain seeping through his expression, though if there was an attempt to hide it, it was low effort.

     “wouldn’t you like to know?” even his retort was taunting ; mocking the other’s curiosity as if his question was not justified—as if it was such a stupid thing to ask, that he couldn’t be bothered with a concrete answer. “you look like you haven’t even kissed a girl. if you’re looking to compare rates, don’t. you will never cost as much as me.”
